Troy Brown is a beauty expert with over 25 years of experience in California and Oregon. He apprenticed at in San Francisco at Architect and Heros for two years after which he mentored with Martin Parsons, a world class long hair master stylist. Martin is listed by Modern Salon Magazine as the 3rd of 100 Most Influential stylists of all time.

Troy creates masterpieces with every scissor cut and buzz of his clippers.
First time getting my hair trimmed by Troy and I will be coming here for every future haircut.
I showed him a couple pictures, he asked a few questions, and the result is better than I could have imagined! Even gave me some tips on how to style better. Great conversation but also didn’t feel the need to fill the quiet space.
Super satisfied and happy. 10/10. Would highly recommend.

Luna is seriously the BEST stylist I've ever had! She is such a sweet soul, and my hair came out looking AMAZING!! It was exactly what I had invisioned, that rarely happens. All the staff there seem so friendly, I felt right at home. So glad I decided to try this place, I can't recommend them enough!

I love this place. The experiences of going to B'INspired are always calm, relaxing and totally pampered; though prior to finding this place , getting hair cut and color always were something I dragged doing. Troy is just a breath of fresh air, he truly listens to my concerns, handles hair with gentleness, his voice puts me in ease. I've been to the salon for a couple years, each time I find myself admiring Troy's beautiful works of his clients before me; it's amazing how different all our hairs can be! But undeniably all of them look amazing ,and adore Troy just as much as my family do!

Troy did wonders to my long, previously damaged hair. The person I went to before bleached my hair and it was very dry and fragile. After months of waiting for it to grow out a bit, Troy was able to blend my roots with the bleached out part and added a bit of fun fair. He's an artist.

Troy was Amazing! love how my hair cut turned out. I can finally say I found the ONE hair stylist I want to stick with. The only thing is I live out of state and haven’t had any luck finding a stylist I like. I wanted to get a convenient haircut to avoid going to salons for a while with COVID-19, and this studio was exactly what I wanted, needed, and expected! Troy is very friendly and added the style that would make my convenience haircut look even better. I have thick, wavy hair and asked that he shorten it and thin it out and he did exactly that! Enjoyable conversation and I love my haircut. Even though I don't live near here and was just stopping through, I let my family know of this place and if I would get a haircut again in Ashland, I'd definitely come back here!

I went to Troy for a short haircut and it is literally the worst haircut I have ever had. Firstly, he did not do any of the things I asked for. After talking with me for at least ten minutes about what I wanted as soon as he started cutting his brain apparently left the building. Secondly, what he did do is an atrocious haircut. Uneven left to right with bits and bobs either too long or too short. A nice enough guy but he cannot cut short hair.

I booked my appointment through yelp online. Showed up at my appointment time and Troy Brown greeted me with a smile! I didn't have to wait.. the salon was beautifully decorated and felt warm and inviting. Troy took the time to chat about a plan with my hair. The cut was beautiful exactly what I was looking for. Troy Brown has been my trusted, exclusive go-to guy for nearly 20 years. I'm a long-haired person trapped in a short-haired person's body, and Troy magically makes it work somehow. Look no further than B'Inspired Studio in downtown Ashland, check-out their other services as well. Parking is always is a cinch there too. It's scary to imagine life without my regular visits with Troy, I heartily concur with all these other rave reviews on Yelp and elsewhere.

I've lived in Ashland for 11 years and until I found Troy Brown I never had a good haircut. I've been back a few times now and the cut I get is exactly what I've asked for. Troy listens and gets it right every time. It's a new sensation to look forward to my salon experience instead of dread. I highly recommend Troy. He's a real artist.

Of all 30 some years of getting hair cut, he is at the top. I totally love my hair cut. I'd love to learn his blow technique since he created perfect curl with just a roll brush. He turned me from pseudo-hippie to STYLISH. Thank you, Troy!!

First I think it's important to note that I would give more than five stars to Troy if I could. We are not from Ashland, but he had time to fit me in for a much needed hair cut. It soon became so much more than either he, or we, expected.
While he was washing my hair; scalp massage included, we talked about my mother's botched cut from another establishment. He said he could fix it. Then we talked about how hard it is for my daughters (mixed children with highly, and differently, textured hair) to get a great cut. Well, he completed four cuts and we were all so very happy with them

Such a wonderful experience! I can happily say I found my hair stylist in this new town. Troy's experiences and confident shined through, right out off the bat I was in ease. I was in for a root touch up and he suggested with some highlights. Normally it would scare me away because I have sticked with boring, straight hair my whole life. But my six sense did me right again, i knew it would be a good idea to try something different when the right person comes along. It turned out very subtle , elegant; adds dimension. The salon is right next to Ashland coop with its own parking lot, salon itself

I was just thinking today that I've found most of my go-to people/places in the valley. Whenever you move to a new place, you need to find a good hair stylist! Having coarse, thick, unforgiving hair, it's not easy to find someone who has the skills and experience to handle my hair. Troy has a lot of experience working with different kinds of hair. As a visiting Paul Mitchell stylist, I looked for an Ashland stylist with Paul Mitchell experience...I asked a friend whose hair I loved....and she referred me to Troy. I trusted him completely and not only did he create a beautiful style, he was so easy to talk and joke with...I highly recommend him for your stylist. Troy also has lots of experience providing wedding services and having seen beautiful results of several of his bridal parties, I highly recommend him for wedding services!

I have looked far and wide for a hair technician who knows how to do a proper women's hair cut! Most hair dressers do not! But Troy knows how and goes the extra mile ALWAYS!
