Home Care Assistance caregivers are the core of the home care experience. Home Care Assistance of Douglas has been one of my best experiences as an employee. I was with the company for close to 2.5 years. The company has good policies and they are overwhelmingly supportive for someone who has never had experience with caregiving. My managers have been amazing and I never felt like I lacked the knowledge or capability to provide the best care I could for my clients. Home Care Assistance of Douglas County is one of the most caring & compassionate places I have ever worked. Their attention to the needs of the clients, their family, and the caregivers is top notch! Our family benefitted greatly from the 24/7 care Home Health provided during my mother’s last days. The companionship and overnight care gave us so much more peace. My Sister and I found ourselves in an stressful position after the sudden death of our Aunt upon learning our Uncle was impaired and not able to care for himself in his home. We interviewed several care companies and found Hope and Jonathan to be especially helpful, warm, and trustworthy. We both live out of State and it was key for us to be able to work with them remotely, while allowing our Uncle and his dog to stay in his home as long as possible, which ended up being 1.5 years. Home Care Assistance of Douglas County was very helpful when my 84 year old mother returned to her Independant Living Apartment, from Rehab in August. They met us at the front door with a wheelchair to help her get to her room. They helped her get unpacked and settled back into her apartment, since I was not allowed into the building, due to Covid restrictions. Mom enjoyed having someone to talk to and help her as she transitioned back. My experience with Home Care Assistance was excellent! These people are extraordinary. Julianna came to my home to set up my visits. And, Katie Williams was the best caregiver I ever could have hoped for. I had a stomach operation at Sky Ridge Hospital this week. Katie was sitting by my bed when I woke up in Recovery. She was so excellent with the nurses there, and she was so particular in making sure she got all the discharge papers and suggestions for any particular aftercare needs.
