As a local credit union, we're a not-for-profit organization that exists to serve the financial needs of our members. When you join Rivertown, you work with local people that know you and care about you. You also get access to excellent financial services, great loan rates, Visa Credit Cards, Debit Cards with rewards, and Online and Mobile banking services.
Instead of losing a few bucks a month to a service fee, you'll be earning rewards for food, shopping, and more. Sometimes you just need to move some money from checking to savings. We've got an app for that. Fraud monitoring and reimbursement protects you, joint account holders, your spouse, dependent children up to age 25, and parents living in the same household as the account owner.
An insured IRA Certificate of Deposit earns more interest than a Regular IRA Savings account. The CD never goes down in principal value and has a guaranteed rate of return. In general, Traditional IRAs offer you a taxed-advantage way of saving for retirement now, while Roth IRAs offer you a tax-advantage during the withdrawal period later.
Overdraft Protection automatically transfers money from your Savings Account or from your Line of Credit to cover insufficient funds. It helps prevent the embarrassment and hassle of declined cards. Each overdraft transfer is only $4. Overdraft Protection can be activated through online banking, or by calling us at (616) 406-2480.

Shut the entire place down to "upgrade" the system. Online banking was totally down and they were closed so no phone or in person tellers avilable. Absolutely no way to add a check or anything to your account or check your balance. This happened on the 1st of the month which is when lots of people need to pay bills so access to your account is very important. Severely inconvenient....
*The new website is absolute trash and they took away mobile banking.
** Why would you be closed on Jan 3rd! Changing banks today 0 stars.

I'm a 2nd generation customer. I have had nothing but great experiences with this credit union. I have plenty of friends and family that have had bad experiences with certain credit unions. Throughout my over 11 yrs being with them. I've had multiple experiences with them that have reassured me that I made the right decision to do business with them.

Called asking for help and lady was rude and didn't help me in any way and just hung up on me and cant get ahold of anyone else worst bank I've dealt with by far

This is the old Stampers credit Union for a GM. I really appreciate it when people give me bad news first end correct information when I talk to them. That's not what happened here. I end up going to rivertown cu on 36th Street which is quite a ways away and the initial information you get is not correct and they just are wasting time and I don't know why they want to look busy but there's nobody here and there's a good reason why.

Apparently my money is no good there. I rolled up all of my change I’ve saved up over the years in the paper rolls and brought it in to exchange for cash. I’m a member at a co-op credit union but because I’m not a member at their credit union they wouldn’t exchange my coins for cash. What’s the point of being in a co-op if you won’t conduct business with members of the co-op?

Unfriendly, unwelcoming, and unhelpful. I travel for a living and bank at participating credit unions while on the road. I have never felt less welcome and was made to feel like I was wasting their time. I was the only person in the bank and asked a simple question only to get a condescending response. Never again Rivertown.

Been with them since the early 90's and I've never had any issues and the associates are wonderful. Best credit union in town #1.
