Born in Idaho and raised, for a time, in Eagle, Dr. Higginson received his bachelors degree from Brigham Young University and earned his dental degree at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.

Serving our patients includes providing information that helps them to make more informed decisions about their oral health needs. We encourage you to involve yourself in your own treatment and ask questions throughout our relationship. In our opinion, an informed and involved patient is most likely to achieve the highest level of healthcare.
Where possible, we will assist you in optimizing the benefits available under your policy. As a courtesy to you, our office will submit your claims to your insurance carrier. We offer electronic submission (EDI) where possible to expedite the claim process. Most payments are processed in a few days rather than a few weeks.
We try to manage the schedule carefully, so that patient wait times are short, and so that our dental and hygiene professionals can fully dedicate their time to your planned treatment. Our staff will set a specific time for your dental visit.
Please try to arrive 5 minutes early to your appointment or 15 minutes early if your are a new patient to ensure that you receive the comprehensive oral care that you require, without any significant wait time.If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, we ask that you provide us with at least 48 hours notice to avoid possible charges and so that your appointment time may be offered to another patient.

I am a nervous dental patient. I found this dental office through my insurance's website. After looking at the reviews, I decided to try them. They were fabulous!!!!
The check in process was fast, even with filling out new patient forms. I barely sat down before I was called back, after filling out my forms. My hygienist was great. I have sensitive teeth and she was very gentle and did a thorough job. I was in the chair for well over an hour, not the quick 20 minute scrape and you are done.
Afterwards, the dentist came in and spoke to me. He actually took his time and carried on a conversation

I was very happy to get my first appointment within a week. I called several other dental offices and they all had two months or longer wait times to get in. This office has a full staff and you can tell compared to the other offices working short staffed or have smaller facilities and have a hard time getting people serviced. This staff is very experienced and are some of the best I have ever dealt with. They obviously love working here and it shows in their service. I can honestly say I have not had a better experience with a dentist appointment.

I love Lighthouse Dental! From the check in to the check out, everyone is wonderful!! I recently had the privilege of spending time with Julia, taking impressions of my teeth, and she was a true joy! She helped me get through the lack of comfort from "the mold goop", and made the session enjoyable!
Most people avoid their dentist offices as much as possible... I look forward to my visits!!

This dental office is the best. The staff is friendly and professional. The scheduling system is effective - you are seen at the time of your appointment. The hygienists are well trained and their patient’s comfort is important. Last and certainly not least, Dr. Higginson is a highly skilled dentist and a very nice person. He cares about his patients.

Dr. Jensen and staff are the best...Happily been with them for years. My wife (patient of Den Higginson at Lighthouse) and I had to move out of state in mid 2000s, and glad to come back when we moved back. We drive past dozens of dentist offices to do our 2x a year visits...Wouldn't go anywhere else for our dental care.
