We have completed over 700 projects in 13 states in the development of facility assessments, long-range master plans, feasibility studies, and full-service designs for new buildings, additions, renovations, adaptive re-use conversions, historic restorations, and handicap accessibility projects of all sizes.
Originally founded in 1963 as a firm that designed a broad range of commercial and residential buildings, our focus changed direction when our founder, Thomas Jaeger, completed his national award-winning design of the St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, which led to a gradual specialization in community-based architecture.Robert Nickola joined the firm in 1976 and Jaeger Nickola & Associates (JNA) was established in 1984.

JNKA is dedicated to serving community-based clients and helping people to live, learn and grow in mind, body and spirit. We design Worship Spaces for communities of all faiths, including cathedrals, churches, chapels, synagogues, mosques, non-denominational worship centers, liturgical furnishings, devotionals, shrines and retreat centers.
Through personal meetings, customized questionnaires and on-site reviews, we gain essential insight and help our clients to better define the vision, goals and unique requirements for their projects. Through our collaborative design process and interactive design review meetings with our clients, we develop designs that that reflect our clients' identity and values and achieve their vision and goals.
