We have a rich history in the Great Lakes Bay Region. We started in 1948, when Richard "Dick" Somalski returned home from Michigan State University, where he studied forestry. He started a small company called Bay Lawn Service, installing lawns and planting shrubs and trees for residential and commercial properties throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region.
Dick met and wed Marilyn, the love of his life, and she quickly became integral to the business with her accounting experience. Their children, Julie, Dan, and Jerry grew up with the business, helping Dick in the mornings and weekends. Dick's two sons Dan and Jerry handled the commercial and residential ends of the business, respectively until 2012.

We enjoyed working with your whole team. Jack came up with fantastic plans, and was accepting of our requested changes.
And the 2 installers were absolutely amazing. Such talented men and creative, we appreciate the way they rearranged and reused almost all of my existing plants.
And such hard workers! There were two days they worked in pouring rain all day!
Thank you for a job well done!

We used to have TrueGreen for 10 years and we were very unhappy with their service. We have hired Bay Landscaping to take care of our lawn for the last year and a half and I wish I could send pictures because it is just beautiful. Anytime we had a question Bill would stop by and go over what we needed to do. He was extremely helpful. Thank you Bay Landscaping.

I paid over $10,000 for a landscaping job. This included a new walkway with stone blocks and decorative steps leading ito my front door. After 3 years all the blocks on my entrance have sunken in. They are uneven. My son in law stepped up and one block actually flipped off when he stepped on it. Luckily he didn’t get hurt. If some one came to my door I could easily be sued over these uneven blocks. I thought they would be securely placed with masonry to hold them. Bug no they are all loose.
I called about it last year and they told me that ants were my problem ...REALLY???? I think they should
