Tried both the local pharmacies as I am all about local. Both of them are a sad disappointment.
Loved the delivery service of Hotel Pharmacy and the folks that delivered.
Unfortunately, I went back and forth with them about a script that they said they were unable to get. Jason is the rudest, most condescending person in Town! Left a message for Mary but never got word back.
The other local pharmacy is so small everyone in the store knows what medications you are taking as they tend to shout!
Walgreens Pharmacist was helpful in getting the medication and got back to me immediately. Needless to

I've tried all the local pharmacies and Hotel Pharmacy is my best choice. The atmosphere is professional, but unique in it's home-like environment, with music, and memorabilia. These folks have a high level of responsibility and focus required for their job, and work in an exposed work environment. Perhaps the serious, seemingly unfriendly tone (at times), feels appropriate to me. Communications and accuracy re: prescriptions has been excellent.

Service has declined precipitously in the past 2-3 years. All but one of the pharmacists has serious "attitude" -- taking care of customers seems to be the last thing anyone wants to do, and if they're out of something or get something wrong don't expect an apology. As is usually the case in these situations, it seems to come from the top down -- the grumpy owner who inherited the business from her father, who really seemed to care about his customers. It's too bad. You'd really want to support an independent home-town business like this. But if they can't get

Loud. Very loud. 8 -10 people behind the counter every time I go in, none of whom seem very interested in helping customers.
One time I recieved the correct drug prescribed, but in the wrong form (extended release). This is a dispensing error. I called to tell them I was not supposed to be taking extended release, I needed immediate release. I was told it didn't matter! Say what?
Rather than report them to some state oversight regulator, I wrote the owner/pharmacist to tell her that there was, in fact, a dispensing error made. I was cool about it. Mistakes happen. But she never

A great independent pharmacy with excellent service and a large selection of home health equipment. They also have the coolest atmosphere of any little drug store: located in an historic old church in downtown Brattleboro with a huge collection of pharmacy and sports memorabilia circling the store and rockin' music playing in the background.
