Split Rail Winery
Split Rail wines were borne from the minds of a new generation of winemakers and drinkers. We are the stampede for local agriculture, the epitome of pleasure and the turning wheels of evolution. We strive to cultivate a vibrant wine culture in Idaho, and bring the farm to your fork (or wine goblet).

Our goal is to keep Idaho's lips red and our hair and minds in temporary disarray. In its most basic sense, Split Rail Winery emerged from a fervent belief in supporting local agriculture and creating Idaho-centric products, exploring new wines and wine styles, and an unfettered love for drinking, eating and debauchery.

Love this Idaho Winery! I'm my humble opinion it's the best in the State of Idaho if not the NW. I appreciate the wines as they are spot on the descriptions, The Horned Beasts are my fav. The warehouse tasting room is great. We can't wait to see the new tasting room coming soon. We always feel welcome, and love Jed and Casey!

Love this place. Always great service. A good selection of wines to taste or buy by the glass. Love the wine growler fills (don't forget your punch card).
You can find their wines at some of the bigger grocery stores in the area, but why not get it straight from the source?!

Inside out: getting in and out of their parking lot wasn't the most fun, but parking in the back at least has ample room. The place itself inside is well decorated and fun to look at with a decent amount of seating options. The giant wine egg (made of cement) was eggs-cellent fun!

The service: friendly and fast, every single person was knowledgeable. They provided lists that had explanations and explained their wine maker, some names, and the descriptions of wines were unique.

The wine: we did a tasting and a bottle to split, some were for me and some weren't but all were easy to drink

Started with a flight to wet our whistle. Not a rose fan but they gladly traded it out. Loved the Cab and Malbec. Friendly and warm. Not much sitting and no food but wine was great.

Small little winery. It has a little bit of a warehouse feel but the wine is great. They only do one kind of tasting that you are tied down to. The server though was super nice and was not your normal winery server. She was super down to earth and spoke in a language that us non wine experts can understand.

We stopped in at Split Rail Winery last week at the behest of my oenophile brother. Tasted several of their wines, including some very unique offerings. We were served by Keagan, who was absolutely fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable--and obviously passionate about her work--she took great care to explain each of the wines we tasted, as well as provide information on the wine-making operations at Split Rail. Even though we could not sample it due to very limited supplies, Keagan's description of The Dictator piqued our interest. While we started our visit with some skepticism, we quickly

I LOVE Split Rail. It's my favorite winery in Idaho. Mostly because the wine is fantastic but partly because it's unlike any other winery I've ever been to - it's funky and whimsical. You'll know what I mean when you visit. Don't forget to read the wine descriptions on the bottles! Cracks me up.

Split Rail's red wine selection is just so darn good. That said though, I've actually liked most of their whites, too (and I normally pass on white wine all together). Support local and head to Split Rail!

We had such a great time tasting wine here. We came for my mama's birthday and it was a treat. This place is a little funky, functional, and fun!

You can see a lot of the wine aging happening right when you enter the tasting room. We got to see some really cool Terra Cotta vats ( I can't remember the special name for them) where they ferment the Malvasian wine. There are barrels, fun seating options, and a beautiful bar. They have also opened up a back patio option with shade and some ambiance for the folks who would prefer to be all outside.

We decided to sit inside because we had

S till doing wine tasting during COVID-19
Great service in regards to COVID.
Tried four very different wines during the wine tasting.
Two white two red. One bubbly. I'm sure they change the selection around so don't reference this.
All of the wines I actually liked. One of the white wines (not bubbly) was a little too acidic for me but I have a low tolerance.
I won't go too into detail about the wine because the wonderful human host who tells you about each wine and the menu will fill you in.
The menu is very articulate and funny is the descriptions for each wine they offer.

A cute winery and tasting room located just off the main street. We came here to kill some time as the cidery down the street was not yet open. It ended up being a great find! The inside has oodles of atmosphere and is very funky and youthful. They have a fairly large range of wines, many of which use grapes sourced in Washington state. It was good to do the tasting as we were unfamiliar with a lot of the appellations they used, which were surprisingly east drinking. They also offer rose in cans, which is a brilliant idea for anyone picnicking or hiking, as we were.

Great, knowledgeable, small, kind, staff. Everything is done right here! There are many classic and unorthodox wine made here. Great place to hang out and taste some wine. Bring some food from somewhere and hang out!

I tried to contact other wineries in the area via Facebook and they were not nearly as nice and the folks here! We had some wine shipped home. Thank you Split Rail!

I'll make this short and to the point. 0/6 people in our party with varying tastes did not like the wines here. Find somewhere else...many other options for better wine around here!

I have been here three times now and have not been disappointed one time. This is a quirky little urban winery that provides fun and interesting bottle art with tasty wines. We have done tastings 2 of the 3 times visiting there and have found new and fun things each time to try. My favorite right now is their Dry Syrah Rose, it is perfect for the summertime and is affordable to have on deck anytime a party might arise. My husband enjoyed the Laser Fox and the Swamp Donkey red. This is a place we will continue to go to and our out of town visitors alway request to go here as part of the agenda when

Small local tasting room in Garden City. Situated in a warehouse. Upon entering you leave the grime, and bustle of Chinden Ave behind.
We were greeted immediately, and went over our tasting options.
we decided on tasting the rose, and several reds. We were surprised at how good some of these wines were. The dry Rose was very well balanced, and had a great finish (bought a couple of bottles).
We also purchased some Cab, and Tempranillo.
We will return from time to time, and taste other wines (mourvedre for one).
If you like, or are interested in wine. This is a great place to stop.

Small wine tasting room for three up-n-coming wineries here in Garden City.

Syringa, Spilt Rail and Strange Folks all sharing space. Strange folks canned wine is so fun and genius for ease of use.

Love how everything is right here together.

It's easy to do an urban wine tour here in Garden City now. Some great stuff!!

I knew that Idaho wines had arrived after my very first sip at Split Rail. My mother and I each did a tasting, (it should be noted that we have very divergent tastes in wine) and both of us liked every single wine we were poured. No longer is Idaho the backwoods step cousin of Washington and California-Split Rail's wines are mature, carefully made, and extremely palatable. The wine descriptions are hilarious instead of stuffy, and the winemaker himself poured our tasting. The wine and staff are everything that makes Idaho great-kind, knowledgeable, irreverent, and amazing. Wine club, here
