Services
We offer local moving & storage services to Boone, Banner Elk, Jefferson, Wilkesboro and the surrounding areas. Any move not traveling more than 35 miles from origin to destination is considered a local move and will be charged on an hourly basis. This hourly charge depends upon number of men provided in the crew.

We hired Appalachian Moving to move a piano for us. They were responsive in scheduling. They sent reminders. On the day of, they were punctual. All three men were very kind and polite. They wrapped the piano and bench and were very careful in moving it. When it arrived at our house, they made sure it was in the exact spot we wanted before they left. They were careful yet efficient. They did a fantastic job and I would definitely use them again if the need arises. They do stay busy, and I can see why, so book your moving date with them early. I definitely recommend them.

We were assisted in our move 2 weeks ago, on November 1, 2021. We can't say enough good things about these guys! They were careful. They wrapped everything. They did everything we asked. They centered items for us. They took some items down to the basement. They were very calm, nice, respectful...all around great guys!

I’ve used Appalachian Moving for almost 16 years, up to 5 X a year. They’re perfection. They are incredibly careful with each & every possession. They work carefully but quickly. No matter which crew you get, the guys are kind, patient & make moving as free of stress as possible. You can’t go wrong. Book early, their calendar is always full because of how great they are. Thank you Appalachian Moving for a wonderful moving experience. The crew was amazing, very professional and always positive. My furniture was moved to storage with care and delivered to my new home in perfect condition. They were even able to deliver and unload earlier than expected. The delivery crew was so helpful and careful in placing furniture in the new house. Every step of the move was great.
