Services
InMind Psychotherapy and Counseling is here to serve you in the west Georgia area. We have trained and licensed therapists to deliver services to all demographics across a wide range of modalities. At InMind, we believe in the wellness model of mental and physical health. Rather than focusing on what is broken or wrong, we work with you to reclaim your balance and vitality while navigating through your challenges.
At InMind, we have made it our priority to collaborate with clinicians who are dedicated to the same principles that we endeavor to assist you in applying. We believe that self care is mandatory for a life that is vital. Our clinicians hold each other accountable for taking care of themselves. We nurture and support each other as a community.
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) treatment is a cognitive-behavioral approach developed by Marsha Linehan that emphasizes the psychosocial aspects of treatment. The theory behind the approach is that some people are prone to react in a more intense and out-of-the-ordinary manner toward certain emotional situations, primarily those found in romantic, family and friend relationships.
Some of the therapists at InMind have an overarching interest in mindfulness and meditation. We believe that the act of being present in the moment leads to the best quality of life. We believe that meditation trains our brains to reset, to develop new neural pathways and to find balance. If you do not have a mindfulness or meditation practice, please ask one of our clinicians to assist you in developing one.
Psychotherapy is a form of counseling that addresses past and current issues issues, and false thoughts and patterns that are holding you back. Psychotherapy helps you learn how to take control of your life and respond to challenging situations with healthy coping skills.

I've been seen by two of the therapists there, both are very kind, attentive listeners who help me reach the goals I've set with them. They help me to learn more about my diagnoses in a very helpful manner without making me feel incompetent and give me helpful solutions on how to go about treatment without insurance.
The office itself is very clean and has a homey feel to it. The waiting room has toys and books for small children, copious amounts of magazines and books for adults, calming music and lighting, and tea and water that you are allowed to bring with you into your sessions. The reception
