Karie graduated from Slippery Rock University with a B.S. in Education and taught special Education in Cleveland Ohio. In 2006 she had the opportunity to experience the amazing healing power of acupuncture and after realizing the impact that this had on her life /health, she decided almost immediately to pursue this as a career.
That year she moved to San Diego, California and graduated in 2010 from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine with a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Karie is an amazingly compassionate person. I know she genuinely wants to help me with my health and my life. I've never done accupuncture before so I don't have a comparison, but based on everything else about her I assume it's top-notch. She also does some massage on you, which is honestly amazing. If you are experienced with accupuncture I'm sure you will be impressed and if you've never gone, Karie at Purple Sage is definitely a great place to start. 100% recommendation without hesitation.

I’ve never had acupuncture before. I suffer from different problems. I met with Karie for a consultation and I knew then I would be in good hands!!!! Karie makes me feel at ease and is very kind. She listens to your problems and then tells you what she will be doing to help you. If you have any questions, she is happy to answer them. She has many years of experience and is well educated. I feel blessed to know Karie and blessed to have her as my acupuncturist!!!!

First time experiencing acupuncture. Karie was very focused on my comfort and concerns. Did not feel anything discomfort, I didnt even feel 90% of the needles going in. The ones I did feel were not painful. The relaxed feeling I got afterwards was amazing and I'm excited to visit her again. I struggle with very tight muscles in my shoulder and lower back. There was a lot of relief even after just one visit. Thank you so much I highly recommend this
