He assisted in the land acquisition, construction and sale of affordable housing in the wake of Hurricane Katrina in Hancock County with a local non-profit. He has served on the Board of the Housing Resource Center whose mission statement is to stabilize and strengthen the community by ddressing obstacles and barriers to housing and coordinating services forfamilies in need.
He has resided in Bay St Louis for the past twenty years. Although he has traveled to many coastal communities along the southeastern shores of the United States, he can say without hesitation that it is always a pleasure to return home to the little paradise known as the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
