Stu Garlington, the owner of Towne Craft Builders, LLC, has been involved in the home building industry since 1974. After attending Babson College in Wellesley, MA, Stu came to Maryland for a summer job with a national home builder and never looked back. During that employment, he progressed through the ranks to become one of that company's youngest Division Production Managers.

I entered into a contract with Towne Craft Builders in 2018 to rebuild my beach house in Calvert County. We started with an initial contract to get through 5 different phases of design/preparedness/permitting. Stu, the owner, was responding quickly initially. Over time, though, he began to contact me and return my calls less frequently. Eventually he delivered 2 house design samples that were terrible and included none of my input/wishlist. After that he never returned any of my calls/emails and basically ran off with $1k of mine. I'm just happy it wasn't much worse and only happened at the initial
