A Credit Union is a non-profit financial organization owned and controlled by the people who use its services. Credit Unions are governed by elected members who serve on a board of directors and represent the people in it. These officials make the decisions of the members they represent. The members of the Credit Union pool their money together in an effort to receive more reasonable rates on loans and savings accounts.

This money is invested together to provide a larger but safe return. The money that is not invested is allocated to undivided earnings and is used for stability and growth of the organization. During different periods of the year the board votes to pass on savings to you in the forms of reduced rates on loans and higher paying dividends on savings.
