Hospitality is the foundation of our business philosophy, Virtually nothing else is as important as how one is made to feel in any exchange or transaction. Understanding the distinction between service and hospitality, service is the technical delivery, hospitality is how the delivery of that product makes the guest feel.
We have been eating at the Thai restaurant next door for a long time and always said we should try Flavor, just never did. When we got the coupon it "made" us try it finally and we could kick ourselves for not doing it sooner! I tried Flavor for lunch and it was excellent. I decided to try breakfast on Sunday morning and the menu was different than what I was used to eating for breakfast and I loved it.

Please update your website. It states that you are open Sundays until 5pm when in fact you are closed. It was very disappointing to drive all the way there and you weren't open.... We checked your website in advance (it said open Sundays).We attended an event not far away wanted to do lunch at Flavor prior.
The bar room establishment next door offered to serve us but had only one thing on their menu being just a bar. Your phone isn't taking MESSAGES the mail box is full. Update the website! Thanks

So the menu says two pieces of fish come with the meal. I get home and there's only one piece per order. I paid for two @ $18 a plate. No biggie, I'll call and let them know and just pick it up when I order again. Right? WRONG!! Israel, the person that took my order in the restaurant and answered the phone proceeds to tell me "oh, we only give one because the pieces are bigger." No, for real, he really said that. That was the first and last time I patronize this black owned business. Basically I paid for it but because they determined the size said I only deserved one

I remember when they were open on Vollmer Rd. you could hardly get into the place on any day ; times have changed and so had the quality of food and service. $20 for 1 filet of Cajun catfish Mac and Cheese and greens . You used to get 2 filets and a corn cake ; not anymore and the greens were sugary not to mention a shorter menu. I hope they bounce back. Forgot to mention 5 slices of fried green tomatoe For 10 bucks . That's one whole tomato for 10 buck.

Very nice n laid back. I'm sure the staff n management knew today was Mothers Day so why they didnt have ghe big room available is beyound me but great service thanks to Jada the server. She made sure the kkds n everyone was ok n it was about 17 of us njce job Jada over all nice experiments food was great chicken as advertised boom everything was good. I will be back

I place a $60 order for my mother & I on a Saturday afternoon. The wait for in cafe dinning was 1 1/2...not an issue. We asked for our order to be to go...order placed at 356pm...it is now 452pm and we are still awaiting our order. The workers are very nice, but the customer service is horrible. Cleaning chemicals place on the bar visible to customers and near drink straws...WE NEED TO DO BETTER. I live in Naperville and came all the way out here to visit my mother & was told their food was good. WILL NOT RETURN.

Very disappointed with the new policy at Flavors. Who ever heard of ordering a meal off the menu and then they bring you a portion of that meal and tell you since you didn't request the other part it was not ordered. Eggs comes with the meal. It's literally in the name. I ordered Rochelle's Salmon Croquettes and Eggs. I was brought the two croquettes and no eggs. I told the waiter that the eggs were missing and he told me because I didn't specifically say I wanted the eggs they decided for me that I didn't want the eggs. And friendly service. The food is well seasoned and everything is excellent... if you want more flavor pop in and take part in their bar. Great food with tasty custom beverages that will give you a buzz for your money. The owner is extremely nice and makes sure everything is flavoristic!

Flavor restaurant is amazing - for Sunday brunch after church or Saturday on the relax day to get out and get some good brunch this is the place
The thing about this restaurant is the wait time is increased but as a person who has worked in the food and beverage industry a couple of years I give them a pass and the reason why is because a lot of people come in with groups of more than 6 which as result backs up the kitchen because this place is not built to take on multiple tables of 6 and more guests smh
This is a small intimate setting so tables of 2-4 isn't an issue but tables of 6

I just want to thank all of you who placed a review here for this restaurant. I'm planning a big event and have wanted to try this place but for me taste is not everything I need customer service and it seems like that ingredient is lacking at Flavor.

If I could give zero stars I would. PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE!!!
The wait time and horrible customer service is not worth getting sick or worse!
This place is disgusting they have fruit flies everywhere . They serve food that is over 14 days old with proteins in them. (Health department laws for protein is 3-5 days). They keep the same food on the steam table all day long and then reuse that same food for the next day.
The owners have no clue what is right or wrong when it comes to food, all they know is they have been opened for 17 years and they think they are the first and the best to do anything

I hate to have to write this however my most recent visit to Flavor on Sauk trail was most definitely my last. I have been coming here for years and experienced great service, a welcoming staff, and of course, excellent food.

My family made reservations for a farewell dinner 3 weeks in advance. Unfortunately, upon arrival we learned our space had been given away without an explanation of why. We waited for an hour+ since we invited so many people to dine with us. We were finally seated and then offered plastic silverware to eat with. When I asked about it, the answer given was, "we ran out of clean silverware. " This restaurant has the potential to be great, however overbooking and poor service only leads to "closed" signs.

Sometime the food has no consistency, we visit for the flavor and it changes often. I guess it's the luck of the draw. The Sangria flight was super amazing though and the staff was friendly but slow i think she should hire more staff to serve the two waiters shouldn't have to handle that space alone on a Saturday night. I think i like the Hazel crest location better anyway they have the cranberry butter.

I've been coming here off and on for years and I must say "Flavor" has not lost its flavor! The catfish is seasoned and fried to perfection, their waffles can go toe to toe with any waffle on the planet. Their wings are breaded a bit too much for me but are still good and fried crisp like most people like/want their wings.
If I'm going to recommend a must have at every visit it's their grits!!! OMG they make the BEST grits on planet earth PERIOD. I never order grits when I go out to eat except for here. These grits are so good they make you wana slap yo mama! Seriously

Flavor has No Flavor. We drove out here to have dinner for my Bestie's Birthday. It was a disappointment. Poor Customer Service and the Food was just as Bad.
We had a party of 7 and everyone was complaining about their food and drinks. I ordered the Cajun Fried Catfish with a side of rice with gravy and a side of Mac & Cheese. My rice was over cooked and on top was a load of onions. Yuck... My Mac and Cheese was burnt on top and undone at the bottom. The cocktails drinks were even BAD.
