Susan Wetlesen is a proud wife and mother to 6 children, a professional photographer, and a sign language interpreter. Susan was born and raised in sunny East Coast Florida. However, she has moved all over the U.S. thanks to marrying into the military. Currently, Susan and her family reside in beautiful Palmer, Alaska, where they plan to stay.

We did a maternity shoot with Susan and it was hands down amazing! We met with her before hand cause I also wanted to book a newborn shoot with her! She answered all my questions and went above and beyond just in our first get together! So we meet for our maternity shoot and I already have to wild and crazy boys who were all over the place but she didn’t mind one bit! She was never annoyed and she actually let them take a few pictures themselves! She encouraged them to play and just have fun! She has great energy and so much fun to be around! If you're like us and came in without any real ideas, she'll be able to guide you through your photo journey. We booked Susan for a newborn photography session. She was absolutely wonderful through the whole process. She was always on time to our appointments and her studio is gorgeous. She seemed really experienced during the shoot and really paid attention to baby's needs. She was accommodating in that I had a couple items I wanted to incorporate in the pictures and she made it happen. All her props are beautiful. I just want to share my experience. My family spent near 4 thousand dollars on pictures from here. My heart breaks, as I feel like the photos are just not great. Being the mother I feel like they should have been great quality. I feel like we were duped. I left her show room after viewing our " almost 30 image gallery" crying. I left crying because these photos are not beautiful they are not stunning. I feel shame and dont want anyone to see these photos. The cost of the "experience and quality" is not there. She even had an assistant and yet my hair is mess in these pictures. I HATE EVERY SINGLE

Susan’s studio is warm and welcoming! Susan takes the time to go thru packages and designs before the session. She is so patient with the babies and takes her time working to calm them before taking the perfect pose! Our baby was pretty fussy and I was amazed by Susan’s patience as she calmly soothed our baby back to sleep!
