Welcome to the Clothes Line website, showcasing Pittsburgh's premier women's fashion resale store!. We're not your typical resale store. The Clothes Line is primarily operated by hardworking and dedicated volunteers. All of our volunteers are a part of an auxiliary group at Magee, The Women's Auxiliary, who participate in projects that raise funds for programs tackling women's health issues.

Our profits benefit many worthwhile projects. In fact, a large percentage of the store's profits will fund a top women's health researcher for Magee-Womens Research Institute. The Clothes Line would be inoperable without the gracious donations that come through our doors. Thank you to all who have supported The Clothes Line.
Services
The Women's Auxiliary of Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC founded the Clothes Line in 1937. The store has moved locations three times in Pittsburgh migrating from the Shadyside area to Highland Ave., and finally to the present location on Liberty Ave. in Bloomfield. The Women's Auxiliary, established in 1937, has more than 40 volunteers.
We accept all gently worn women's clothing, shoes, belts, accessories, purses, and jewelry as well as children's clothing, books, and small household goods. We try to steer away from accepting larger electrical items simply because we don't want anyone to have a problem with something they purchased from us.

I found some real gems there! It seems to target a more adult thrifting population, but there's a mix for sure! ... Plus proceeds go to medical research!

The merchandise is fantastic and the store sales benefit Magee Hospital research.
However, some members of the volunteer sales staff can be extremely condescending and arrogant which is unfortunate and off-putting.
