This was the first time we had ever been there and we were wanting to try out local places as we only recently moved to Brandon. It also happened to be my birthday.
They open at noon, we arrived for lunch at 12:30. There was one table already seated and some other customers playing darts. Absolutely no staff in sight, anywhere. No one to seat us, no one visible in the kitchen, no one anywhere. After a few minutes we left.
It would have been nice to experience the place & food, but you gotta have someone paying attention or keep your doors closed.

Decided to go because they had a live band playing that sounded interesting. Ordered the nachos and boneless tenders. Both came out crispy and hot. Good flavor. The nacho chips stayed crispy throughout the plate. Blaine was an awesome bartender suggesting different brews and ideas.
We have not frequented this place in several years due to the last few times the food and service was not good. (2019) But it seems that has changed and we will definitely be back!!!

My husband and I ordered food to go and we literally just got done eating and I had to write a review. We each had a Shepard's pie and we split a full order of the fish and chips. Everything was amazing right down to the Cole slaw. The fries were amazing and fresh and crispy. The fish was cooked perfectly and fresh. Just the right amount of batter. The tartar sauce was so good. And the shepherds pie was probably the best I ever tasted. A few reviews mentioned it being too small. But I disagree. It was just the right amount. Wanted to come to O'Brien's for lunch today, been a long time since we'd ventured out, with the pandemic and all, but as we walked in the door, turned around and walked right back out. NOT ONE staff member was wearing a mask, tables were not six feet apart bar was full with every one elbow to elbow. I guess it's good for their wallet, but makes me wonder what other safety procedures they are "choosing" not to follow. My husband and I used to come here pretty much every weekend. Was here for St Patty's day. The celebration was pretty epic. They had two full stages setup in the parking lot with live music on both. They were a little close together though so the music tended to clash when both stages were playing. They had multiple outdoor bars setup and the kitchen was rocking it! They managed to keep up pretty well for the huge influx of people enjoying the day. The reduced menu for the occasion was well thought out with traditional British and Irish dishes offered as well as some twists on the favorites. Geen beer flowed and drinks were served. Prices were reasonable

Stopped in to have a quick lunch and what a pleasant surprise. Lets start with the size...huge! This place can easily accommodate fifty people alone in something that looks like a private room located in the front and to the right of the main bar. Outside back is where they have a resident DJ who rocks the ones and twos on Friday and Saturday evening. They also do karaoke(Thursday and Fridays). Most all sporting events are broadcast here on one of their many 50 plus inch HD televisions. I hear that lots of northerners frequently come here. Lots of Ohio state fans and also home to the Buccaneers

After reading others comments, went here for corned beef for St Patty's. It was so disappointing. Moved to FL from NY and reading that the owners are from NY, I assumed it would be great. However it seems they sold the place and recipes have been Americanized. Corned beef, which actually is an Irish American dish, wasn't even soaked in brine. No flavor and cabbage over boiled that the water from cabbage was watery and soaked entire dish from lack of drainage. Paid 14.99 just to feed it to my dog when I got home. Shephard Pie made with ground beef, not lamb and they put melted cheese

The bar staff was amazing and so friendly. I haven't tried the food yet but it smelled really good. For a busy bar they do a great job keeping it clean!
Update! I tried their food and it was pretty good. I will say that we have had the same server the past few times we have been there and she is AMAZING! When you go, make sure you ask for Andrea. I can see her training the other servers in a manager role, that's how good she is.

By day it's a family-friendly bar and grill with sports on TV, cold beers, and good food. On weekend nights it turns into a party spot.
Visited on 11-18-18 at 12:00PM. $33.67 got one entree, an appetizer, a kid's meal, and one beer. Service from Nicole was fast and friendly. The place is much more modern and clean inside than it looks from the outside.
I had the $6.99 house salad and added grilled chicken for an extra $2.99. The leaf lettuce was nice and green and fresh, the chicken was a big portion and was cooked and seasoned very well-hot and juicy. It had croutons, cucumbers

This place is great for kicking back and enjoying well mixed drinks without the crazy up charges of a restaurant. Their menu is not huge, but their food is good and comes to the table hot. Drinks are always mixed strong enough to love them, but not too strong to ask for more juice.
The staff, is friendly and the girls are good at keeping p when the place gets packed on Friday and Saturday afternoons.
For the sport fanatics, O'Briens has multiple tv, they will even put on your channel.
You can sit indoors, outside.

First time here in years. Looks great inside. Very clean! Enjoyed a nice lunch of Reuben rolls, with fries and Stout Gravy. Servers were on it. Good job!
I looked at Google before arriving and it said to expect a 45 minute wait at lunchtime. Very incorrect. No wait at all...not many customers at lunchtime for some reason.

What a great Irish pub. The starters were delicious, they had the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. The fish was crispy on the outside and tender and flaky on the inside, it was cooked to perfection. Our waiter (I wish I had gotten her name) was great. Drinks never went empty and he would check in frequently but not to the point were it was annoying.
It was my nephews 17th Birthday they sang happy birthday to him with a free desert that made him feel special.
Nice music, comfort and great bar.
