My wife and I found ourselves in a legal dispute with a former landlord after we purchased a home and vacated our apartment. The landlord’s property manager, in our opinion, acted in a manner inconsistent with good faith and fair dealing, in violation of landlord/tenant law, essentially threatening not to re-rent the apartment and leaving us on the hook for up to ten months of unpaid rent.

When my father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's my parents went to Mel for a will and Power of Attorney. My mother was not in good health and she wanted to make sure that I would be able to handle all of their affairs, especially if she passed before my father. I can't tell you how many times I used the POA and was told that it was one of the most comprehensive one they had ever seen. The POA help me during a very stressful time. My mother also told me how kind and patient he was with them, which really put her at ease.
