Wally Wellenstein began working at the company his father built, Wellenstein & Sons, 58 years ago when he was 28 at a time when he was mostly working as a mason in northern Wisconsin for his Uncle. When Wally first began at Wellenstein, he started as a carpenter, quickly transitioned to a foreman, then moved up to an expeditor, and then bought the business from his father in 1962.
