Founded by James Davi in the early 1980's, Surfaces Painting & Decorating, Inc. has been serving the Monterey Peninsula for over 27 years. James initially worked out of his Carmel Valley home with a single company truck. Later Surfaces leased space behind Monte Vista Market for storing equipment and materials and began adding staff and company vehicles as the company grew in size.
In 1998, Surfaces moved their headquarters to Sand City and now occupies over 3,000 square feet of office and warehouse space including their VOC regulated indoor spray facility. Since the inception of Surfaces, James has maintained a strong reputation for quality and conducts business by the book with regards to regulations, workers comp insurance, liability insurance, employee training, and environmental concerns.

I spoke with Jim on the phone about a touch-up paint job that I was tentatively going to need his help with. Even though I didn’t end up needing help with it after all, he was extremely generous and informative during our call, and I would highly recommend working with him purely based on the knowledge and professionalism he demonstrated during our talk.
