Laurence D. Shind joined Kertzman & Weil as a partner in 2002 after 16 years at Hale and Dorr LLP (now WilmerHale). Larry concentrates his practice in the areas of residential and commercial real estate conveyancing, zoning, land use and development, and leasing. A Wellesley resident, Larry is active in town government, where he currently serves on the Permanent Building Committee and is an elected town meeting member.
Kertzman & Weil assists buyers, sellers, lenders, and builders with all their residential real estate law needs, including contract, financing, title, and land use issues. I have now worked with Amy Weil in the purchase of 4 houses, and she is always AMAZING to work with!!! I find that her warm personality makes me feel like I am working with my sister... or favorite cousin.... One could not have better legal representation for the sale of a house than just provided us from Kertzman & Weil. Every aspect of the filing, paper work, and contact with all parties was brilliantly handled. At various times, at least four members of their staff provided information and enabled our participation when needed. Further testimony to their excellence was a closing without any issues, and accurate, prompt, and thorough updates and summaries throughout the whole process.

I worked with Jared and his team on a recent home purchase and it was a great experience! Jared always made himself available to me, even during fire drills, and his team went above and beyond to help us move our closing up. The closing itself was so quick and easy. I have been a client of Kertzman & Weil 3 times but the most recent transaction (sale and purchase) was lengthy and involved. Despite all the issues that surfaced Amy and Jared were resourceful, responsive and made a stressful situation as pleasant as possible. Both Amy and Jared went above and beyond with responding to my numerous calls and emails. I was pleased with the discussions that ensued between Amy/Jared and the other party’s attorney. The firm seems very well connected to local attorneys, banks and realtors. I will continue to use Kertzman and Weil for any future real estate legal needs

Working through three transactions, the only part of the deals I didn't question was Kertzman Weil. They quickly earned my complete confidence in their expertise and someone I referred shared the same impression; that after a quick conversation it was clear Amy was "whip smart" and "totally on it".

Amy Weil is by far the best and brightest. We had the opportunity to work with Amy during our home purchase. Amy's attention to detail and ensuring the client was properly taken care of during all stages of the purchase made our situation seem easy, even though the underlying issues were far and above any normal closing. Amy was calm and collected throughout the whole closing, and if it wasn't for her, I'm sure we wouldn't have closed on time or at all. She even made a house visit to ensure the work was being done prior to close. I recommend Amy to all of our friends and family in the area. I wish
