When a person's teeth or jaws do not fit together properly, orthodontic treatment may be necessary to correct the problem. If left untreated, these orthodontic problems, often referred to as malocclusions, can cause speech difficulty, premature wear of the teeth and protective enamel, and even increase the chance of injury to the teeth and jaw joints.
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that a child receive his or her first orthodontic screening by age 7. Because a young child's permanent teeth have not finished erupting, we are able to thoroughly evaluate and address any impending problems at the earliest stage.

Having to get both of my sons braces put on within a year was not something I was looking forward to, at all, but going to Ladner Orthodontics made it a fantastic experience. My sons are five years apart and the staff were accommodating for both age groups. They taught them the appropriate responsibility for their braces and held them accountable in an understanding way. We've been to both offices and had a positive experience at both locations. We've worked with Dr. Ladner and Dr. Jain, both knowledgeable, professional, and down to Earth. We're braces-free right now, but go in for check ups. My
