Dentistry For Kids is your local dental practice for pediatric dentistry in Pocatello, Idaho, and the surrounding areas of Blackfoot, Twin Falls, and Malad City, Idaho. Dr. Robert McWhorter, Dr. Garth Stoddard, Dr. Michael Christensen, and our team are happy to help your child achieve a healthy smile and excellent oral hygiene through kid-friendly preventive, restorative, and surgical services.
Kambree has loved being at Dentistry For Kids for three years. She is a life-long resident of Pocatello. Kambree attended Idaho State University to obtain her Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene and graduated in 2013. She and her husband, Kevin, have been married since 2007. In her free time, she likes running, playing softball, doing home projects, and playing games with her family.
Dr. McWhorter was born and raised as the 6th of 8 children in Texas. In 1985, he graduated from Atlanta High School in Atlanta Texas. He fulfilled a full-time mission, serving 2 years in Osaka, Japan, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After graduating from BYU, he attended dental school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, graduating in 1998.
Every child needs to develop healthy dental hygiene skills, and several studies have shown that people who kick off their early years with healthy oral habits will continue to have healthier habits later in life. Adults who had good dental habits as children have more confidence later in life, and they also experience fewer issues with their teeth than children who lacked good dental habits.
Your child will begin getting their baby teeth during the first 6 months of their life. By age 6 or 7, they'll begin to lose their baby teeth and get their secondary, permanent teeth. Because of this well-known fact of life, many people share the common misconception that dental health within the first few years isn't that important.

My kids and I love Tooth Town! They take great care of my kids and really make it a positive experience. I have been to another dentist office in Pocatello before Tooth Town, and Tooth Town is definitely the place for my kiddos. Dr. Belnap, Kelsee, and Brea have been wonderful; they do a great job and help my kids feel at ease. It is always a plus when your kids look forward to going to the dentist!

This is the best children's dentist I've ever been to. They answer your questions in depth, interact with the children so they aren't scared, offer various treatment options (and tell you their recommendation) and they aren't judgmental or rude. After Dr. Belnap seen my son for an abscess tooth, he called each day to check on his progress and make sure he was doing okay. My children will definitely be going there as long as they can.

We love Tooth Town! They are great with kids. We had a bad experience with a previous dentist which made my children very scared to go to the dentist. After the very first time at Tooth Town my kids had a 100% change of attitude towards going to the dentist. Now they love it and actually look forward to go. They are great! I recommend Tooth Town for every child!
