Services
Most any person out there has an idea of what their dream home would be like - and the details always vary depending on who you ask. Perhaps you've always wanted an expansive kitchen with an island, granite countertops, and sleek, all-new appliances. Maybe you're simply tired of fighting over a single bathroom every morning, and have decided it's time for your own connected master bathroom (with two sinks!)
If you are in the market for a new home, try a custom home builder. Oklahoma City and Shawnee area residents have been trusting Richardson Homes to bring their ideas to life for nearly 25 years. Our luxury custom homes are tailored to fit all your wants and needs when it comes to homeownership, and we work with you every step of the way.
Whether you are able to picture your dream home in detail, or you have a few ideas you still need to think through, rest assured that your dream home is well within reach. Building a new, custom home is a commitment, and we know you want your home to be perfect. Richardson Homes' custom home designer can partner with you to help finalize your ideal design for your new home.
You may be surprised as to the true cost of building a custom home in Oklahoma, it could be cheaper than you expect. Often times building a home in Oklahoma can be more cost-effective than doing so in many other states. The national average for custom home builds comes out to just over $300,000, that would roughly equate to a 3,000+ square foot home depending on where you live in Oklahoma.
The possibilities are endless when it comes to custom features for your new home. How does a two-person whirlpool tub sound for your master bathroom, where you could relax in style and comfort? What about a warm, inviting fireplace, with decorative mantle and hearth for your living room, ensuring that visitors will feel right at home?

Richardson homes built our home and It was completed in October 2020. Dakota was our contractor and I must say what an amazing experience we had. If your trying to find a builder look no farther, Richardson homes is who you should go with. Their quality on their standard package is amazing. We almost had a local builder build for us, but decided to reach out to Richardson homes and see what they had to offer. I would consider myself a hard to please person but Dakota and everyone from Richardson went above and beyond to do their best to make sure we got what we wanted. Have faith in them, they

Garage has flooded 4 times in 8 months. Drainage issues not disclosed. They provided a warranty, but have done nothing appreciable to resolve. They don't respond to any emails. Previous discussion consisted of them telling me that when it rains hard, houses will flood. All other discussions ended with them taking no responsibility.

1/2020 after meeting with Kym in person I believe she try's very hard. She was always accommodating and well prepared for our conversation and emai. Unfortunately after the initial problem and the other builders I was compairening to, I've decided to just sell my bare lot and buy something already built.
I've updated this from 1 to 3 stars because of Kym's efforts.
12/2019 I Emailed Kym last week and received a spec sheet and set an appointment for her to call today. Its 5:40 PM I guess the other posts about their lack of communication and concern for customers was correct. I believe this would

Friendly staff,
Great company to work with. Very accommodating and tons of options to choose from.
We spoke to Kim, she was very helpful.
I would highly recommend them over other options for building your home on your land.
Overall, a good experience. Check them out.

I inspected a roof today on n.w. 15th. Shingles were not properly installed and are falling off the house . Drip edge was installed on top of the torch down roll roof. No tar around roof vent water runs right down the pipe into the house. I've strongly recommended that the home owners seek litigation before the warranty runs out on the home. Home builders are only as good as the subcontractors they hire. When they lowball contractors you pay the ultimate price ! Very costly in the end. I have plenty of pictures if anyone needs verification.

Don't even get into a contract with these people! Sub par contractors, that are lazy and don't do good work. They take more days off than they work! We were told our house would be done sept 15th, that came and went. Contract said oct 19th, that has came and gone, now they are saying 2nd week in November.
They have an "extras sheet" that is for change orders. They won't keep it updated until the end and then boom you owe a substantial amount of money. Instead of keeping it updated so you know where you are and can either stop adding extras or add more if you choose, they spring it on you last
