Reiki is a Japanese healing technique often described as hands-on-body healing in which the practitioner places his/her hands lightly on or over the patient's body to facilitate the patient's process of healing. Reiki combines the Japanese and Chinese word-characters of "rei" (God's wisdom or higher power/spiritual) and "ki" (life force energy), when combined means "spiritually guided life force energy".
