In addition to assessing your visual acuity, your eye care provider will test for common eye diseases, assess how your eyes are functioning together, and more. Serious health issues like diabetes and high blood pressure are often first detected during an eye exam. The American Optometric Association (AOA) recommends children have their eyes examined at 6 months old, three years old, at the start of school, and every two years until age 18.

During my recent eye exam at Mashpee Vision Care I was greeted by Barbara in a friendly and professional manner. Lisa, the technician, was highly skilled at using and explaining state of the art technologies as part of the pre-exam tests. Dr. d’Hedouville’s exam was professional, comprehensive, and efficient. I had a wonderful experience as a new patient seeing Dr. d’Hedouville for my recent eye exam. The staff were consistently pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful and made scheduling and recall a breeze. The office is equipped with top of the line equipment and I appreciated that the doctor took time to explain the results during my exam.

I have never had a more positive experience with an optometrist than I had with Dr . d'Hedouville and her staff. Dr. d'Hedouville provides a thorough exam that is not rushed. She has a great ability to explain complex concepts in layman's terms. Her staff is friendly, experienced and very efficient. The technology she employes is modern and impressive.

This is the best eye care I have ever received in my life and I have had a myriad of eye issues since I was born.
