Did you know that accreditation for animal hospitals is voluntary? Surprising, isn't it? Nearly 60 percent of pet owners believe that their pet's veterinary hospital is accredited when it is not. In actuality, only 12-15% of animal hospitals have gone through the accreditation evaluation process by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).

This is the best vet clinic I’ve ever used. The staff is knowledgeable, kind, caring and compassionate to both animals and owners. It’s very easy to get an appointment and if your animals have a favorite vet, you can request that vet. The pricing is about the same as other clinics in the area. These vets have dedicated small animal and large animal vets and a few do both. I love this clinic and would not take my animals any other place!

I LOVE this place. Dr. Gianna is wonderful with my horses. She's thorough, follows up and has a sincere interest in my pets' health. Elvis had his eye removed by Dr. Gianna due to cancer and he healed perfectly! Couldn't be happier with TVS!

I have used Thumb Veterinary Services for over 50 years when it was Deckerville Veterinary Clinic. From Doc Muir, Walton, Schroeder to the Vets today...I have always gotten great Vet care for my Cats, Dogs, Horses. I have had to say goodbye to my Scottish Terrier "Mac" in recent years and was so happy to have a very compassionate Vet Ann Roberts help me with that process. Then last year I had to put down my 32 year old Quarter Horse "Foxy" and again had great compassionate vets to help. Monya and Vet Tech Chelsea were great that day too:) I have had good Vet care for my current Scottish Terrier

I can say enough about the entire staff here! They take awesome care of my service dog a Siberian Husky who was hit by a truck two yrs ago. I switched to them the next day as the came in ASAP to care for her, the rate was reasonable, the care was incredible! Compassionate, extremely knowledgeable along with being very formative about my dog etc. by the Grace of God she only had large leg laceration bumps bruise.
They now care for my five cats also ranging in age 2 months to 15 years They take their time with each visit, don’t try to over care for what is going on with animal at the time, always

Outstanding veterinary service. Needed emergency care for a cow with milk fever. Dr. Rogggenbuck was here very soon after I called. He promptly diagnosed and treated her and she almost immediately improved. She continues to do well. 6 days later, I had a calf with scours. Again called and again got help very quickly. Dr. Jarrett came and treated the calf for pneumonia and gave advice on further care we could do for the calf. The calf is improving every day and taking milk replacement and electrolytes well. I strongly recommend Thumb Veterinary Service.

Gave me next day service with my GSD when she was having a serious issue. My then current vet sent me to ER @ Wilson's or I could wait a week. Needless to say I switched veterinarians, drive a lot farther to get the care both my GDS deserve.. Friendly helpful staff from the first phone I made to checking out. So happy I switched.

I love this place. They genuinely care for your pet. They make sure you and your pet are comforted and understood.
I've been taking my dogs here for 8 years now, even after I moved 2 hours away (if that says how good they are).

I brought my best pal, Otis (180 pound Mastiff) to Thumb Vet as he had several infected puncture wounds around his head from a run in with bad bramble down at my daughter place in NC. We met with Dr. Anne Roberts, who was AWESOME with Otis! He's finally on the "come back trail" after the first emergency vet we saw down in North Carolina botched the diagnosis and the treatment. The dog suffered all the way back to our summer place in Deckerville. Now we have a good vet in Michigan. Thanks Dr. Roberts!

TVS is the best veterinary service in the area. They care for all our small and large animals. Usually clinics specialize in small or large - but TVS does an excellent job caring for both. In particular we are very thankful that TVS has veterinarians skilled in equine medicine. They have been responsive to our horses needs... even late night calls.

We have great confidence in Thumb Veterinary Services. Thank you for providing friendly, professional and effective veterinary services.

Long story short(ish): Grew up in Sandusky, couldn't wait to leave, left for the military, came home, left AGAIN.....and swore I'd NEVER come back. And honestly who could blame me? Well.....one thing led to another and I became homesick and felt like I belonged back home. So I moved back home. Again. At first I was thinking "What the he!! have I done? Why would I want to move back home to this town?" Thanks to my kids (3 pitbulls and one velociraptor wannabe chihuahua) I can finally answer that question. Through some conversations with a couple high school friends of
