Idaho does NOT require a license for permanent cosmetics-anyone can do it anywhere without passing a test! A bad microblading or makeup tattoo on your face is permanent until removed, IF it can be. Each process is invasive which means exposure to blood, so blood-borne pathogen (disease) control is critical to protect your health.
Procedure appointments are set on a first-come basis. Most doctors' offices see many patients at the same time, but Dr. Reed sees only ONE patient for several hours. A procedure appointment date and time is reserved exclusively for you with 2-4 hours blocked. Others who wanted that same appointment time are excluded if you booked first.
As an artist, Dr. Laura Reed has always enjoyed making beautiful things or making things more beautiful. But her love of science and helping others led to a career in health care. She became a licensed Doctor of Optometry in 1985 and was named "Young Optometrist of the Year" in 1987 by the California Optometric Association.

Dr. Laura is amazing!!!! I am passed my follow up appointment for the permanent eyeliner and I am ecstatic with the results. She is meticulous with her practice in regards to her client notes (which were super helpful in regards to my follow up appointment), her technique is flawless, her communication was appreciated, and her skill/knowledge in the field is unsurpassed. I won’t be going anywhere else for any permanent cosmetic work!

Recently my sister and I contemplated on getting permanent eyeliner and eyebrows. We were so tired of out eyeliner smudging and having to reapply it several times a day! Oh, poor me, I’m in a deep depression,
Years came and went and with them taken,
My lovely dark eyebrows and expression,
Now my face is purely an abomination!!
I’ve sorely missed those lovely brows of mine,
I’m in a state of wistfulness,
I’ve been without for quite sometime,
My vacated face is complete disorderliness!
I’m trying my best their truancy to hide,
So, I wear long bangs hanging down,
But, whatever I do, still it hurts my pride,
So, I keep pretending and wear a frown.
Confidence giving, arched and narrow,
Handed down from my grandmother,

Dr. Laura is meticulous and methodical. She was very highly recommended and I am thankful that I found her for my permanent eyebrows! She is a true professional and since Idaho has NO licensing or health department inspections for permanent makeup, you can trust your appearance and health in her hands! Dr. Laura also corrects the work of others permanent makeup. I get a lot of compliments and absolutely LOVE my eyebrows!

Eyes looked so much smaller afterward and looked very harsh. I was not told this would happen. So that's disappointing. Another cosmetic tattooist said they were not done right.
Response: It is fully healed. It has been months since the procedure. I will not go back to a person who screwed it up the first time. I am not a competitor and don't invalidate my post with baseless claims.
