Robertson's BBQ and Catering was started in 1995 by George and Renee Robertson.
George previously worked in the logging business and Renee was employed in the dental field. They were also involved with the Fosters-Ralph volunteer Fire Department where they helped cook and organize various fundraising efforts in the community.

Recently voted as one of the Top 5 BBQ restaurants in Tuscaloosa, Robertson's Country Store & Restaurant is located just down the road from Tuscaloosa in the close-nit community of Ralph. We serve breakfast starting at 7:00 AM. We are closed on Sunday. Stop by and try our award winning BBQ plates, burgers, ribs or chicken.

Possibly some of the best BBQ IVE EVER HAD...After a trip to my daddy's hometown of Ralph to bury his sitter at Bethel Baptist, other family members said we HAD to eat here, apparently they are kin..
Man was I blown away!! Absolutely so good it hurt! And I topped off my day with Dreamland In Tuscaloosa and man this was BETTER!

Second year - just as good as last year! COVID friendly as carry out only with everyone distancing in line and wearing masks. We ate on a bench in the parking lot since we were on the road and not local. Worth the trip off of 59 to experience some great BBQ and support a small business. Bought 2 bottles of sauce to take home too. Will be back again for sure. Need to try the pie sometime but we were so stuffed we couldn't eat another bite.

Excellent! My hubby had pulled pork, lima beans, and fried okra. I had the small pulled pork sandwich, slaw, and baked beans. Oh.My. Everything was wonderful -- I was sad when it was all gone because it was SO good! Don't let the gas station exterior deter you from enjoying this local establishment. It's definitely worth the 5-miles-off-the-highway drive. We LOVED it!!

Not fancy or even a real restaurant, small store and gas pump, with very good barbeque. It's about 10 minutes off I 20, easy to get to, no traffic. My wife and I both had the lunch barbeque sandwich special, delicious. The sauce is vinegar base, we both thought it was fantastic, even bought several bottles.

Our favorite BBQ place! They are catering my birthday lunch today! Ribs, baked beans, their special slaw, and Ranch potatoes! So good! They have tasty burgers and great fries. They also have wonderful meat and three selections! They cater onsite and have their own venue for weddings and special events. Their food and service are fantastic!!
