Our goal is to produce hand-crafted wine in the old-world style. All wine-making operations are carried out by hand with the power of gravity rather than electrical pumps. Although time consuming, this gentle method is less harsh and introduces less oxygen to the wine. In addition, we use all new French oak barrels for each vintage to ensure a truly premium wine.
During the month of October, Molly Sims will be displaying her art at our tasting room. Molly grew up in the PNW with a huge appreciation for the natural world and beautiful wildlife that surrounds us here. Our tasting room reflects the Craftsman work of our winemaker, Greg Shelman. The oak bar, backbar, pendants, sconces and lamps were made by Greg.

Services
The Craftsman name is inspired by our winemaker, Greg Shelman. Greg became intrigued with wine after taking a tour of the Napa wine country in 1966. Years after earning a Pharmacy degree from Washington State University, Greg pursued a passion for crafting wood into Stickley-inspired fine furniture here in Spokane.
Our 2015 grapes were sourced from the Columbia Valley AVA, with the Cabernet Sauvignon from Kamiak Vineyard (Gordon Estates) and Merlot from Burgess Vineyard. Our 2016 and 2017 grapes were sourced from Lonesome Spring Ranch Vineyard in the Yakima Valley AVA. You will need to email info@craftsmanwinery.com to place your order and to ensure your order is sold and shipped through Craftsman Cellars.

We stopped in the day after Christmas. The environment was very nice and we enjoyed open seating at the bar. There were a few others scattered in the comfy looking chairs.
We went with the $10 tasting option, which ended up being six reds. The wine itself was alright, in our opinion better than Maryhill across the street. Our pourer was the winemakers wife. She was pleasant enough, but not very engaging in conversation. It would be great for them to staff an outgoing pourer who is knowledgeable of wine.
Despite that, we still decided to buy two bottles for home!

Can't believe it took me so long to visit this lovely wine bar! The design and atmosphere live up to the Craftsman label beautifully, and the staff were engaging and welcoming. I tried the 4 Craftsman reds and was kind of blown away, especially by the Mattawa Red blend. I look forward to coming back and trying the food menu along with the wines.

OMG, their wine. They have Maryhill right across the street from them who have the great view and so many wine options but honestly I enjoy Craftsman more. They only had 4 wines to choose from, all red, but every single one was fantastic. Full-bodied reds make me very happy and that's exactly what they deliver. The Syrah and their Mattawa red blend were just about perfect if you like deep, full-bodied reds. The wife of the winemaker/owner hosts and is so sweet and loves sharing their love for wine. I especially love their tasting setup- you can have all 4 of their wines with 2 oz pours or

We've been to Craftsman in Kendall Yards several times. We're always served by a lady I believe to be the winemaker's wife. She's been kind and friendly every time we go in. I've tried all their wines and found them to be pretty impressive- particularly the Mattiwa and Syrah if you like reds like I do. I believe they offer some simple appetizers as well, but I have not tried them. Neat and simple atmosphere.

All of their wines are good, nothing bad can be said. Although I am not sure where to buy it besides the tasting room. My favorite is the Matawa Red because it seems to go well with anything. Located in Kendall Yards, close to everything. Very friendly owners, check this place out if you are in the Kendall area sometime!
