B & L Glass was founded in 1959 by two men, Ed Beatheaud and Art Leandro. Both worked as journeyman glaziers in the city of San Francisco until they teamed up to open their own business in a small building off of Summerfield Road in Santa Rosa, CA. In 1963, they moved their business to its current location on Cleveland Avenue.
In 1983, Ed retired from the corporation leaving Art as the sole stockholder. Art, with his wife Gloria, continued to manage and guide B & L Glass into the force it is today in the North Bay Area. It's important to us that we give the most prompt, professional service possible. Just doing the job isn't good enough - it must be done well and be done correctly the first time.

I had two windows needing work. One had broken glass & the other wouldn't lock closed. They could have easily said I needed to replace both windows for a couple grand like another company did, but they didn't. They said they could simply replace the glass in one window and that they could repair the locking mechanism on the other - final cost was under $500, AND $50 UNDER their original estimate. Office staff very organized, very professional. Will use them for all my glass needs.

3 months ago I brought my damaged 20 year old sliding glass door track and rollers to Friedmans, Lowes and Home Depot, none of them could help me with replacement parts.
Gentleman at Friedmans recommended B&L whom I'd never heard of, as the only place he thinks could help.
Took both to B&L where they asked me the size of the gap for the track and make of the door, both of which I didn't know.
They gave me the best educated guess of a track they think may actually be better than the original/damaged one I supplied to match.
They had to order the rollers which were a few days out

A worker from another company put their ladder through my front window... so I had to get someone to replace it. I called B&L because they came up on my Google Search and they had good reviews. I have to say, they were so helpful and came out right away. They said they'd be at my house at 11. I arrived at 10:57 and he was waiting for me. The job was done well and in good time. The people in the office were super helpful. I would very much recommend B&L Glass!!!

Called B&L to fix a lock on a sliding glass door and add the lock on another one. We scheduled an appointment for a few days later. A tech came out and fixed the lock in a short time. He took measurements on the lock needing the replacement. Another tech came and found the part they ordered didn't fit. So he left and came back later with another part later. The bill was more expensive because of their mistake. I expressed my displeasure when I was told that and was offered a $50 discount and the person mentioned doing so because she didn't want me unhappy and complaining on

This is probably the worst business I have been to. Very unprofessional. I came in to buy customized glass shelf's and paid $280 for such a small order. (After I purchased I looked around other businesses and they were selling the same thing for half the price!) When I came to pick up the glass shelf's it was the wrong size and completely wrong Order. I told them politely that this is the wrong size and they were so rude and said there's nothing they can do about it AFTER I PAID FOR ALL OF IT. Not only that but when I have arrived home I noticed that the glass also had hairline

Decent installation but left debris where the company truck had been parked. Prep and clean up are the details that set one company apart from another.
The business responded to the Yelp review stating,
"We offered to come out same day we were notified"
INCORRECT: The B and L Glass receptionist originally responded "we cannot get someone out to clean the debris we left until later this week."
Our response was, "We will pick up after B and L Glass as we not want this debris laying in front of our house for several days.

I rarely give negative reviews but this company's price was so unbelievable that I had to comment. When your competitors are offering the exact same glass and service for 40 percent less, you need to question your prices. I called B&L on this and they simply said, that I was welcome to call around. Look, I get that sometimes you might not be the cheapest. I wouldn't fault you for that. However I do fault you for being 40 percent more without explanation. Also, it's so high that I just won't bother getting a quote from you when I need more glass. And everyone needs more glass
