I’ve never had a problem with these guys. When I did, (no fault of theirs), they took care of me. I like taking in my ‘91 Celica into them because I know they’ll always be quick. Recently did a timing belt job, and for some reason my back window was slashed—they referred me to a local shop and are covering the costs. I honestly wasn’t expecting that, but happy they’re honest and upfront—all without telling you that “you need XYZ.”
They are top-notch and I recommend 100%.

My car had bottomed out on a speed bump or otherwise. I went to Volvo first to get an invoice of the repairs needed (as the ac was broken, and the charge pipe was damaged causing a rough idle). I handed the invoice to the guys at prock and they found issues that the Volvo tech hadn't even found/mentioned. They care about making sure to give a thorough and complete inspection, and they will let you know what needs to be fixed. They only used oem parts because they care about quality. Honest, upfront, extremely knowledgeable, reasonable pricing, finally I have a shop that I can just drop my vehicle off and not worry about what's being done or what I left in the vehicle. These guys are the real deal and my ecodiesel loves them. This is my fourth time for repairs don't laugh she is high mileage and I'm still in Love with her . The owner with one of my repairs said let's try this and see what happens well what happened, I won't go into details, saved me from replacing the engine. Yeah wow! I tend to be a bit apprehensive when it comes to mechanics due to past experiences, but I have had great experiences with Prock Automative. Shaun was incredibly helpful during my time in Lubbock. He quoted me fair prices and was extremely patient with me. Even after I moved to FL, he did his best to assist me by answering my numerous calls and getting me the information I needed. I am grateful for this shop and I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

I would not go to them again. I was charged 800 total... only 250$ for parts. 550$ for labor! When I got my car out of the shop they hadn't fixed it properly so I had to bring it back in, and miss more work. Finally they got it fixed, yet my car still came out with the check engine light on, even after I asked them to make sure there were no more problems with it before returning it to me.

After my local Jeep dealer messed up an oil change (let me drive away 1.5 quarts low), I took my car to Prock to pay them to tell me whether the $5,000 in work quoted by the dealer was indeed necessary. Nope--got new brakes with one rotor and a front end alignment (why did the dealer change my tires and not warn me?) all for $600. I'm so happy--just sad that I don't live in Lubbock. These guys are honest and good at what they do.

Prock was incredibly polite from the beginning. My car was having troubles starting so they removed and replaced the ignition switch. This, unfortunately, was not the sole reason of the problems as the car still wouldn't start every time. Because there was more to be done, they went in depth on my vehicle, digging around and maneuvering just to locate the source of the issue. They didn't even charge me for labor after the first visit. I followed a recommendation to Prock Automotive and pulled into this unassuming shop (my favorite kind) in my well-used 5-year-old Subaru with squeaky brakes that were taking longer to stop the car then they should. Soon they called with the honest news - my brakes, though worn were not in immediate need of replacement.

My wife and I rolled into Lubbock from Austin at 5 pm last Friday with a rumble in the front end. Despite the late hour, the guys at Prock got my car on the rack and diagnosed a bad wheel bearing. They sent out for the part straight away, gave us a loaner vehicle and had our automobile fixed by 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning. Good execution and follow-up, and very quick service. We were very pleased with our experience.
