Instruction is student-centric, acknowledging each child's learning style, abilities, and rate of development. Flexible classroom groupings allow children to progress in each subject at their own level of ability. We believe that children reach their highest potential through hands-on and investigative activities that are relevant to tehir lives.

It was great to visit my Alma Mater this past week. This being my first time back in many years, I was inspired and amazed by the changes to the building. A lot has changed since my time there(the mid 1980s), but the peace and quiet, the great atmosphere for learning brought me back to my youth. I'll never forget, and always be grateful for my time there. Thank you GFS.

Speaking from first-hand experience as a long time parent, I have great regard for the community of Greenwood as one that values and celebrates the individual student, and where mindfulness and compassion are integral to the culture. My two sons have attended Greenwood over the past 8 years. Love Greenwood Friends School! Wish my grandkids could attend there. So happy my nephew, Jude Elliott Sterling attends school there. I have enjoyed making ice cream with Jude 's class and chaperoning Krista's class on a field trip. I have also helping with food preparations for the annual fundraiser. I also contribute an item for the fundraiser auction. Several classes have come to my home at Rabbit Hill to pick apples from my organic apple orchard and press fresh organic apple cider .
