I believe that natural, unprocessed food is the best nourishment for our body. If you would like to enjoy optimal health and stay in shape, consider investing in eating well. The food should be delicious as well as nutritious. Therefore, I hope to bring you back to your kitchen and make cooking a fun and fulfilling process, like I know it can be.
Nutrition counseling, for me, is about connecting and establishing trusting relationships. We start with a nutrition assessment. Then we set your health goals and identify resources you already have and those you might need to achieve them. And finally, we create a step-by-step action plan. Nutrition counseling starts with evaluating your current health concerns, health history, eating habits, and foods that you eat regularly.
I'm a licensed nutritionist in the state of Maryland and Washington DC. However, I don't directly participate with any insurance companies. Depending on your health insurance plan, you may receive partial or full reimbursement for nutrition counseling. That's why, after each session, I'll provide you with a Superbill to submit to your insurance.
Long-term excess weight is a complex, multi-factorial problem that involves your body and physiology, mindset and identity, and eating and lifestyle habits. To lose weight sustainably, we will use a process that engages you on all levels. Weight loss doesn't have to be about depriving, controlling, and restricting yourself.
Blood sugar regulation is extremely important for our overall health. You are not going to feel any different at the beginning of the disease. So it's important to do regular doctor's visits to know what your blood glucose levels are. Especially if you have a family member with diabetes or if you are overweight.

This was our first time here. Although I had mentioned when booking that it was our first time and that we were celebrating a birthday, there wasn’t anything done to make our visit special. I think it’d have been a nice touch if this had happened.
We were very happy with the food (taste as well as portion sizes - in fact, we had ordered too much and had to take some food back with us). The green curry was my favourite while my wife liked the massaman curry.

When we first found this restaurant, the food was absolutely amazing but the last few times it’s been well below standard. Ordered 3 mains and 2 rices which cost over £50. One of the dishes was a prawn rice dish with caramelised pineapple, the pineapple was not caramelised and had clearly come straight out of a tin and there was only 2 prawns in the whole dish also half the veg listed on the online menu was missing. In Other dishes the meat was very fatty

What has happened to the spice merchant ???
The food portions are becoming measured and small we could not believe we had to order extra rice for each main as an extra cost as there was so little given with our mains .
We left with a fairly hefty bill and were quite surprised as we ordered normal food and noodles for the kids ... The food was not as good as before. The service was fairly poor and we had to get up from the table several time to go in search of the waitress as we were sitting outside.
Feel that The spice merchant is now squeezing margins and price ... time to move on - We are

Good selection of starters: Thai fishcakes, prawn toast, spring rolls etc
Plenty of mains, with a mix of traditional Thai dishes, with some more unusual options (eg Thai tapas, Lamb Shank Massoman curry)
All food was well cooked and flavourful.
Prices are more expensive than most restaurants in the area - but still good value. Approx £6.50 for a starter and £14-18 for a main.
Wide selection of wines, but only 3 beers/ales.
If going with kids, there is a playpark in the garden. And kids menu is very affordable (£6).

Went to The Spice Merchant for a networking dinner. It is well organised on arrival, we were sat in the marquee in the garden, and given blankets to keep us warm as the night got cooler. The service was brilliant, we had our track & trace details taken straight away & drinks ordered. The duck spring rolls are amazing! I had Thai green chicken curry and egg fried rice for main, which was so good. Looking forward to going back again and trying some of the other dishes too! Highly recommended!

First time here, cannot fault the food and service. Lovely to have a different type of restaurant in our village. We saw two of the Thai chefs as were bringing food to the tables. All home cooked and they will amend meals to suit. Our Green Thai curry was made mild, on menu as hot. The restaurant is behind the traditional village pub making it quite unique. Booking is probably advisable as gets very busy towards the weekend. Can't wait to return

Olga is incredible! She helped me transform my relationship with food as well as my eating habits. She has such a calm and nurturing approach, and truly listens and wants to help you reach your goals. She is extremely knowledgeable, and I found our sessions together so impactful. I'm very grateful that I found her.

I have found Olga to be a very knowledgeable about analyzing lab results and proposing a diet to address my medical concerns as an alternative to "painting over" symptoms with medications. She is conscientious and thorough in gathering info about my case and takes a great deal of time to ask a lot of questions.

I fully enjoyed all 5 sessions of Olga's Restart class and the camaraderie of the small group setting. Olga is very knowledgable about current research and outdated information. This class does exist elsewhere in the US and I highly recommend it!
I'm a carb "addict" and my personal goal is to improve my choices and focus on eating foods that benefit my health. I feel better mentally and physically while consuming healthy, whole foods...most of the time.

I should open by saying Olga helped me lose forty pounds. My blood sugar, which was borderline diabetes, and blood pressure, which was borderline hypertension, are both now within normal range with no meds. I can't recommend Olga more highly. If I could give eleven starts, I would. Olga met with my wife and me a year ago. She listened to our individual situations and needs and designed nutritional programs custom-fit for each of us. I was impressed with Olga's scientific knowledge, which incorporates the latest research at the molecular level. Olga's plan helped me lose the

Took Olga's class last Spring in an effort to break my addiction to sugar. For some reason, my original review did not appear on Yelp. It was a great class in its simplicity, tying together the things we eat and how our body processes them. Restart is an easy program to follow, but it's really up to you get the most out of it. Olga is knowledgeable, supportive and non-judgemental in her approach. The class allowed me to "break the code" between eating and the dynamics of weight gain and loss. And I broken my cravings for sugar! Some folks also tried to take dairy out of their

I registered for the Restart program to get help to stop eating sugar and drinking Coke Zero compulsively, and to learn how to eat nutritiously. My go-tos were bakery and chocolate in any form, at the end of every meal, in between every meal and some times in place of a meal. I couldn't give up nor cut back on Coke Zero nor sweets on my own.
I followed the three-week detox to the tee. It was not easy, since I was surrendering habits that soothed my anxiety, or so I thought, though I could never have enough sugar or Coke Zero.
It has been three weeks since I completed the detox. I haven
