I started The Door Store in 1987 after a family member suggested it to me. I had experience in the construction industry working as a carpenter, so it made sense to give it a try. When I first opened the company, I had doubts that you could create a successful business by selling replacement windows and doors.
To my surprise, we had a very profitable first year and since then have had 28 years of consecutive success. My original doubts have been transformed to an appreciation of how replacing doors and windows can make such a dramatic difference in people's lives, as well as in the appearance of their homes.

Emails and phone calls were ignored after sales associate realized our address was in Chicago. There were three home owners looking to purchase /install new doors. Store associate could not find the time within the week to simply advise they didn't service our area. Claims they've been busy. Personally one should never be too busy to answer at least one of the emails along with a return call without me having to reach out for the fifth time. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

The door store is awesome! Not only do they have honest people that know what they are talking about in their show room but their installation services are unmatched! Brian was my installer and he was quick, efficient, and did a really quality job.
They widened our door from 32” to 36” and we couldn’t be happier! I would recommend their services to anyone!
To anyone considering buying a door from a big box store, just know that the quality of those doors are lower then their standard quality. That is originally why we went to the door store, to figure out what the difference in prices were
