Almo Creek Outpost
Awesome western hotel. Was an awesome experience. We've stayed here in August for the past 4 or 5 years and it's always a clean and quiet place to stay. Great food & service with a feel of the old west with cowboy hospitality, country flair, and modern day amenities. Get away from it all while still feeling at home in our clean, western-style rooms and cabins.

Forty years after the wagon trains rolled west through the area, Mormon families began to settle in the Raft River Valley, Settlers claimed the lands along the Almo, Grape, and Edwards creeks. Shortly thereafter the town of Almo was born. The rich history of this quaint little town still runs deep in its pioneer heritage.

Almo Inn, presently excellent lodging! First class accommodations! Plenty of peace & quiet! We enjoyed City of Rocks, welcomed and given a guided tour with the delightful and informative Staff, Josh & Maple Monk. Also, on our night of arrrival we enjoyed a delicious steaks w/ a baked potato, salad and "Pioneer Pie." across the way there (I believe same owners.)

I have been to City of Rocks many times over the years, this was my first time not camping. The Almo Inn was fantastic! I will definitely stay here again. The steakhouse was closed due to Covid, though that didn't really impact our stay.

I was introducing family to the area, so we stayed in one of the bigger rooms. It was great, we had lots of space for everyone to spread out. There is Wi-Fi, though we opted not to bring screens intentionally. The kids even commented that it was nice to not have that distraction. We spent our time at the inn playing games and reading books. Stargazing

Very cute rooms that are clean. No TV though. Real dishes, a sink, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in kitchenette. The wifi works as long as you aren't doing anything too intense.

The couple that run this place are awesome. We got into town late not realizing how remote the area is. The place looked closed up for the night, but when we called the hotel's phone number, the owners drove in from their home and set us up. Even gave us some rolls to snack on, we must have looked hungry. The room is spacious, clean, and beautifully furnished, not to mention reasonably priced. We will be staying here again, for sure!

Nice little hotel. Great rooms! Good restaurant. If you are going to City of Rocks and need a place to stay this is really the only place to stay. Don't be too late to the restaurant...they close early.
