Services
Due to Music Hall rentals, RDA has confirmed the use of alternate space on the days listed below. Unlisted alternate locations will be published as soon as possible. Additional dates may be added, and we will alert families with as much notice as possible. December is expected to have fewer space changes - thank you for your patience & flexibility!.
Rivertown Dance Academy was founded on the belief that everyone, regardless of ability to pay, should have the opportunity to pursue high-quality and comprehensive dance education. Since our founding in 2016, $139,750 has been awarded in need-based financial aid. We are seeking to once again grow the Judy Dinges Scholarship Fund so that we may continue to support families facing financial barriers to dance.
Friends of Rivertown Dance Academy is dedicated to supporting the mission of RDA to provide broad access to quality dance education throughout our community. We are a group of dancers, families, friends, and neighbors working together to build and enhance our local dance community through both fundraising and "friends-raising" activities.
Legitimate proof of vaccination includes vaccine cards & Excelsior passes. Exemptions will be made for valid medical reasons. Dancers turning 12 years old will be given a 2 month grace period to receive their first shot. Dancers 5-11 years old are not required but are encouraged to submit proof of vaccination.

RDA offers classes to students of all ages & raises funds for scholarships so that no student is turned away due to finances. I am a 62 year old "wannabe" a ballerina who has taken classes, tap, jazz & ballet with Rachel & Jessica for the last 5 years. In spite of my two left feet, the teachers are patient & never make me feel silly. Last year, they won the "Best of Westchester for Adult Dance Classes". When Covid hit, they showed their creativity with ZOOM classes & outdoor classes in the summer. I am so happy I found RDA!

This is my daughter’s second year at RDA, taking multiple styles of dance, and the teachers are wonderful. They teach dance for Dance’s sake, and it shows. I love getting a glimpse at the older students there, seeing their camaraderie and their joy. The Festival is an absolutely lovely, professional production, which gives the dancers a chance to… perform 3 times, not just once. And twice a hear, there is a donation-based Open House, so everyone has the opportunity to show off where they are. The founders of RDA are so community-minded, and they truly live their motto of making

My 11-year old daughter has been taking classes here for years and absolutely loves it - i cannot believe the quality of the dance education that she’s getting at such a young age, it’s like an NYC studio in the burbs (without all the big city attitude) in fact, i like it so much, i started taking classes myself - it’s great for us old timers too

I had a terrific experience returning to tap dance as an adult. Rachel and Alex are phenomenal teachers and choreographers. They have a terrific sense of their students' abilities, challenging us appropriately, taking time to teach, and always keeping it fun. Rachel's patience with each student in our small class allowed me to master steps I hadn't expected to. Thank you Rachel, Alex, and RDA!

My daughter is 3 and has been coming to this studio for almost a year. As a dance professor myself, I have nothing but wonderful things to say! Great teachers! We love Miss Alex! Friendly environment! Great space! And all communication with owners and staff are prompt, friendly and professional. This is a great space for our family.

We love RDA, especially Alex Martin, who is a spectacular tap teacher and choreographer. One of the things that we love most about this school is that it truly teaches and applies technique as well as fosters a love of dance, rather than focusing on the final performance and costumes. This is a school run BY dancers FOR dancers, and it shows.

RDA is hand-down the best dance studio in the Rivertowns -- for all ages! Their cast of expert teachers is extraordinary, and there is a wonderful focus on developing the whole dancer and building community spirit among the students. The school offers all styles of dance, with an emphasis on strong technique. My children love the classes and their… teachers, and they've made strong friendships with their fellow dancers.
