Services
Powers Law Group began as Powers & Costeck in 2005 when Ron Costeck and Jason Powers left the Skagit County Prosecuting Attorney's Office to start a private practice. In a short period of time, Powers & Costeck grew to one of the larger private criminal law firms in Skagit County, Washington. In 2018, Ron Costeck accepted a position as the Island County District Court Commissioner.
Jason Powers was born in Chicago and spent the first few years of his life in Illinois. His parents moved the family to Seattle, and, eventually, Auburn, Washington, where he spent his entire schooling with the Auburn School District. In his spare time, he delivered newspapers, maintained the greens on a golf course and spent weekends working with his father in construction.
A criminal conviction can affect your ability to possess a firearm. Any felony conviction or a conviction for a crime of domestic violence will result in losing your right to possess a firearm. Fortunately, you can restore your firearm rights after a conviction under most circumstances. Powers Law Group can reinstate your right to bear arms so that you can hunt or legally possess a firearm.
Jason Powers (Powers Law Group) is up there with being one of the best attorneys I've had the pleasure of dealing with. Communication is key not to mention how it's almost like he takes his cases on a personal level, like he's family. Without a doubt/question I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Powers Law Group for anyone seeking a criminal attorney.

Jason Powers and his team are the best in the business. After being arrested for a DUI I was extremely embarrassed and hired Jason. Jason and his team are incredibly helpful as they walk with you every step of the way. Jason fought my case at every angle to make sure my charge was knocked down. I walked away with the best possible outcome because of Jason Powers. Thank you!

I received my first felony conviction shortly after my 18th birthday. That was something that followed me and plagued me my entire life. I put in enough work over the years to get that conviction vacated but could never find adequate representation to help me do that. Then by chance I found this tiny little law office and I will never go see another attorney anywhere for anything. They are super kind, super courteous and super interested in helping you. They not only helped me in Skagit county but and Whatcom county as well. There isn’t a single person out there that hasn’t made a mistake at

Jason and his firm were a tremendous help to me after I was served with a bogus protection order. They were professional, reassuring, responsive and sympathetic. As someone who has never had any legal issues in the past, it was a great relief to work with someone with these traits. The outcome of the hearing was in my favor. My sincere appreciation to Jason and his team!

Jason Powers and his team provide compassionate, expert, & extremely effective legal services. I'm thankful I retained Mr. Powers at one of the lowest points in my life. I'll always be thankful for his representation, & the attention of his staff. They're the best!

When you have only one chance for proper and effective representation in court DO NOT trust your fate in the hands of Jason Powers of Powers Law Group Not only was my case bumbled, mishandled, and ultimately lost – the financial repercussions afterwards were ceaseless. From not even having a conference space properly reserved for an established meeting, to being unprepared during arbitration, to not communicating with myself or the opposing legal representation – the blunders were at every turn. They even failed to follow through with ensuring the release of a mechanics lien on my business

Attorney Mr. Powers, and Colleen, are the best at what they do. Obviously, they have extraordinary experience with the Skagit Valley Court System, prosecutors, and judges. They handled my case while I am living out of state with confidence to start, and followed it up with the end result I was hoping for without me having to travel back to WA state.
I would highly recommend Powers Law Group to anyone needing an attorney. Not only did they accomplish what I hoped they would, they always answered the phone and fielded any questions I had involving my case throughout it's duration with kind understanding
