Services
Vanity Makeup (Ani Goulayan) began her journey as an artist at a young age. Her initial passion was drawing simple pictures with oil pastels and using shading/blending techniques for dimension. At the age of 15, she started playing with makeup and teaching herself through blogs and magazines. Ani gained most of her experience as a makeup artist by working on shoots for free in exchange for photos she could add to her portfolio.

I have finished my 4 day course with Vanity makeup! My God I have learned so much! Going into the course i was nervous. I also thought I knew the basics so it would be easy for me. Boy was I wrong! Ani is the most down to Earth makeup artist out there and an amazing teacher! I learned techniques I didn't know about. ANI DID NOT SHOW UP TO MY BRIDAL APPOINTMENT! PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS WOMAN! Please be aware! I would hate for the same thing to happen to you. I booked and paid $500 months in advance for my bridal makeup through her scheduling website. She never responded to any of my emails so that made me so nervous that I literally had a nightmare that she did not show up to my appointment and unfortunately it came true. The morning of my wedding I had to drive to her in Pasadena, I wasted 2 hours of my time driving there and back for her not to be there!

She also has a really bad record of showing up for brides on there wedding day! She did not show up on my best friends wedding day because her CAT WAS SICK AND SHE WOKE UP LATE!! I did the 3 day course about 2 months ago. It pains me to say this because Ani is an amazing makeup artist, but teaching wise was the biggest waste of my time. The course is extremely expensive, and ultimately I wasted 2,500 dollars. Don't waste your money, the course you could easily find on YouTube for free. There is absolutely no teaching of technique. Literally nothing. The class everyday is her demoing a look on a model for 20 minutes then telling her students to go copy the look. When she's done the demo she goes outside and smokes. She has assistant that come around and check your work and

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS WOMAN TO DO YOUR BRIDAL MAKEUP! My sister was stood up on her wedding day by this woman! She did not show up to her appointments! That is the worst thing you can do to someone on their wedding day! When we arrived there was another bride parked in front crying her eyes out because she did not show up for her appointment either! She made them pay $500 in advance & to the average person that is a huge amount of money for makeup for the artist to not show up!
