Southwood Learning Center

My daughter has been in several daycares but none have compared to Southwood. My 3 y/o used to cry every day at drop off time until we switched to SWLC, she runs right into her teachers arms. It feels like a community the way they communicate with the parents and care for the children. I recommend this school to all my local friends!

Both of my kids attended/attend Southwood! They love on them so so so much and I've never once had any type of issue. The academics are amazing and I'm always blown away at how much my kids are learning!

We switched to Southwood Learning Montessori last Fall and I wish every day that we'd found them sooner! They take such great care of our son. It is truly is the best place; they love him like he's theirs. The activities and practical lessons intrigue him so much, and he is ecstatic to go to class each day. He knows he is loved here and that makes all the difference. It truly takes a village. He had gone to 2 schools prior to this one, and it wasn't until now that dropping him off feels as comfortable as leaving him with family. Highly recommend this place and these wonderful, wonderful

Both my children had a great experience at SWLC. They made wonderful friends and developed a true love of learning and exploration. Thanks to all their wonderful teachers.

I love Southwood Learning Center. Everybody there is so nice and caring. You can tell they really care about the kids. They know you by name and say good morning and bye to you everyday. I would recommend Southwood Learning Center to everybody. The only thing that I would change is the fact that they don't provide lunches to the kids. We have to bring them, but other than that, it is a great place for my kid.

I must say I was a bit surprised to learn that the daycare rate was not accurately prorated when wanting to start my son on the 8th of the month. I have never heard of a daycare that doesn't take the actual # of days in the current month and let you prorate it with your initial start date.
This may be a great facility however, after being spoken to like I was incapable of understanding the breakdown, I would never take my children to a facility like this out of fear for them being spoken to like I was. It's not a good way to get people in the door, and it probably explains why they are literally

Our two children have been attending Southwood Learning Center for almost two years now. Our experience continues to be fabulous with the school. The teachers in all three class levels have treated the kids as individuals. At drop-offs and pick-ups, they offer helpful information on our children's recent behavior, with comments that I find insightful and accurate about each child. That the teachers' comments are consistent with what we see at home gives me confidence that the teachers truly do work with the children on an individual basis and help to address each child's strengths and weaknesses

Southwood Learning Center has done a phenomenal job with my child. He will be attending kindergarten at a private school this coming year. After his assessment, his teacher said he was more than ready and that we should be very proud. We owe it all to the brilliant and loving staff at Southwood Learning Center. The curriculum was very well put together at every level and our son's knowledge exceeded our expectations. We are definitely looking forward to starting our second child there as well and excited to watch him excel the way our first child has. Thank you Southwood! You guys are the BEST

We heard about this school through a friend whose child attended and loved it. Our child has been here for over a year now and continues to learn and get excited about school activities. For our child it's a place where learning is simultaneously educational and fun, and it's an environment where we feel genuinely welcomed.

Great childcare facility! Both of my children have attended Southwood Learning Center for a while now. My almost 6 year old is about to start Kinder, and I feel confident that he is optimally prepared due to his time at this Montessori school. He has blossomed social and academically with the loving care provided by the SWLC teachers and directors. My 3 year old will continue in this school until Kinder. Her attention span for learning and focus with educational tasks has greatly improved in her time at this school. SWLC keeps the parents well informed of upcoming events and the curriculum in advance

I was highly disappointed with this school. When I went in to check it out, everyone seemed so nice and caring and then a few months into the school they were rude and unwilling to work with my child. He never wanted to go to school and as a parent, it breaks your heart to send them somewhere they are not happy. I'm glad I left because if I didn't my son wouldn't have gone to the great school he is in now.

Southwood Learning Center is an awesome place to send your children! My two little ones attend Southwood 5 days a week and they are loving it. They have displayed so many positive changes since starting at the Montessori school in February. They come home singing and dancing and sometimes in Spanish, so cute! I noticed that they are more willing to do activities independently now . More costly than my mother's house but so worth it for my children's well-being and maximum growth potential.
