He was an immigrant who came to America for a better life. He was on deliveries one day near Cazenovia Lake when he noticed a young girl calling for help where she had fallen through the ice. He rescued her and her father showed his appreciation with a reward to Mr. Di Lauro. With that money he started Venezia Bakery at 502 E. Division Street where he hired young men to bake Italian bread.

Di Lauro's Bakery and Pizza has a wide selection of Italian artisan breads and rolls available every day at our Syracuse, New York, location. We carry a full line of Italian style bread as well as traditional deli rolls. If you need to place larger orders, we do act as a wholesaler for local universities, businesses, restaurants, pizzerias, sandwich shops and hospitals to name a few.

Di Lauro's Bakery & Pizza has produced Italian bread in the same manner for the last 105 years. Although there are a few new pieces of equipment that are used now, for the most part everything is touched by the artisan baker. Many of our products are hand shaped or stretched which gives you the authentic finished product.

Paul Di lauro has been baking Fantastic bread for well over 30 years. I think it's better than the other one we're always talking about. And get a slice of pizza While you're picking up bread. Favorites include broccoli or sausage! My family would travel hours for a good meal. I give this my good housekeeping seal of approval.... Bill Fortin. Delicious food, had pizza slices and calzones. Hands down the BEST calzones ever. Mushroom, garlic, and spinach options. Highly recommend! I used to visit here throughout my childhood/teens, and now reside out of state (past 17yrs). Brought my teen daughters recently during a trip to NY, a hit! Felt amazing to share a piece of my childhood with them.
