Born of the love of family and food, A Taste of Distinction emerged onto the catering scene over thirty years ago from the home kitchen of sisters Jean and Angela. Based on traditional Italian cooking learned from their mother and grandmothers, the sisters put forth their goals to not only create delectable food, but to create an unrivaled culinary experience felt by both the palate and the heart.

We had our wedding of 16 people catered by A Taste of Distinction and it was delicious! The food was exquisite, the servers were kind and helpful and Samantha (the chef) prepared a lovely array for our special day. The roasted potatoes, sesame noodles, tartlets and mescaline salad were my favorites. My husband loved the salmon and the quiche. Overall, our guests raved about the lunch we offered and the hors d' oeuvres that were passed after the ceremony. Thank you to everyone for a great experience!

Used to love this place..especially their fresh salads and oatmeal cookies that I sinfully ate way too often. Went the other day and there were THREE ladies there, not ONE said hello. When I inquired about salads because they are normally visible as you make your way to the back, one lady acted like I was bothering her with my inquiry. In these days when many businesses are trying to stay afloat, I’d think they’d be more welcoming.

We were looking for a place to cater my birthday party, and wanted something different. Based on reviews, we decided to check out A Taste of Distinction. What a cute place with interesting items. We met with Samantha and discussed the menu. She was so easy to work with and made great suggestions, but still, I was unsure, as I did not know of anyone else who had tasted their food. I was looking for a place to have a quick bite for lunch and drove around in the shopping center where stop & shop is located in Pomona and couldn't find any place to drop in. As I was leaving the shopping center, here they were, nice looking place. There are lot of good looking home made food. I don't go to Pomona so often but I didn't know this store has been around for 20 years! Now I know where to go when l need lunch in this area.

Wow is really the best word to describe this cafe. I don't write reviews or rate restaurants often but this place deserves the recognition. I have never been to a cafe/deli that has even come close to comparing to the freshness or amazing taste of the food here. And for those who like eating healthy as well the options are unbelievable. The decor is also so welcoming if you want to stay and eat; and the owner,Chris I have never met someone so genuinely kind, welcoming, or hospitable( because you can really feel at home here). I will definitely be making this cafe a part of my routine.

I've ventured here for lunch a number of times. Very friendly staff. Cute, down-home country-like environment. I've ordered a particular sandwich just the way I like it, btw, and it always fails to disappoint. I've also ordered grilled chicken and vegetables as breast isn't a part of my current eating plan. No dissatisfaction or disappointment with that either. Nice variety of sandwiches and foods in the enclosed, refrigerated counters. Not self serve, and that's fine with me! Always a good experience. Highly recommended. Psst...try the #4 sandwich with roasted peppers...divine!

This place is amazing! I was in town for a conference, a local recommended it and they did not disappoint! I had the garlic chicken and sauteed kale OMG!! I love that you can chose your portion size so you dont feel obligated to over eat. I wish they were near me, I could definetly picture myself picking up dinner from here for a quick meal. Oh and the iced coffee... they use coffee iced cubes so your coffee doesn't get watery. I was obviously impressed!

A great local place to get good food. I came here with my boss for lunch and was not disappointed! I ordered the veggie lasagna and it was amazing! It was super flavorful and it had just the perfect amount of cheese and vegetables. This place is perfect for lunch! I also heard someone order iced coffee so there's that option too!

I have their catered lunches a few times. This week I stopped in on my own. Tried the Asian chicken salad which was great! Then the next day had the turkey and Brie sandwich (#7) and that was amazing! The turkey is roasted in house and you can taste the difference. The cafe itself is adorable, lots to offer. The staff is very attentive, offered to let me sample anything in the display case, all of which looked amazing! I'll def be back!

This place is really wonderful and super fresh. Huge fan of their veggie sides (especially collards and brussels sprouts), greek quinoa salad, salmon, and cornflake chicken (gluten free!)
My only qualm with this place is that service is really hit or miss. Some folks are incredibly friendly and a total delight, and others zombie around the store and seem really miserable, which customers pick up on!
