Rhonda H Cormney, DMD MS
Dr. Cormney treats young children with growth, development and tooth eruption issues. She also treats adolescents with comprehensive orthodontics and adults with esthetic and bite concerns. We make every effort to treat our patients with personalized care in a warm and friendly environment. Conventional, clear and invisible orthodontic treatment is offered.

We offer traditional metal braces, ceramic (clear) braces and invisable retainers (series clear retainers to move teeth). While there are increasing numbers of female orthodontists in Kentucky, Dr. Cormney is one of the few in Central and Eastern Kentucky. She treats everyone like family and endeavours to form a relationship with you and your children.
Services
Not all dentists that provide braces are orthodontists. Dr. Cormney has completed an additional two years of specialty training in orthodontics after the standard four years in dental school, to become a specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. She has earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), as well as Masters of Science in Orthodontics (MS) degrees.
We have a friendly, caring team of women with over 80 years of combined experience in Orthodontics. Julie, our office manager and insurance coordinator has been with us for 23 years! In the clinic area, our chairside assistants include Elizabeth, who has been working here for 14 years, Kathy for 13 years, Lynn for 12 years, Miss Becky for over 11 years!
Dr. Cormney offers an obligation-free consultation appointment to give you an idea of what you or your child's orthodontic treatment needs will be. She can also give an estimate on the cost of the braces. 1. During the initial exam, the patient's health history will be discussed, and the reasons for seeking treatment will be explored.
We offer a variety of payment plans to meet your needs. For your convenience, we accept payments by cash, check, and credit cards, Visa, MC, Discover and Flexible Spending Account cards. We offer interest free financing plans through our office and extended term payment plans through Care Credit. Discounts are offered for payments made in full at the onset of treatment.
Bacteria found in your mouth have been implicated in heart disease. Dr. Cormney and her team check the patient's oral hygiene at each appointment. They can remove the archwires at every monthly visit and allow the patient to brush and floss before they put the wires back in. Every patient can keep their teeth for their entire lifetime as long as they take care of them.

Report
I took my daughter to her for braces a few years ago. She was VERY rude to her. She even heard her talking negatively about her to her staff. Also left her braces on for five years which resulted in the lose of a molar. Didn’t pull impacted tooth down far enough so she still needed further dental work. No way would I recommend her!
