After graduating from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor in Business Administration, Dwain Sammons started Sammons Insurance Agency as a Cotton States Agent in Macon, Georgia in 1986. In 2001, he assumed the agency of retired Cotton States agent, David Smith, in Sandersville, Georgia.
Dwain was a repeat top performer for Cotton States and has kept that streak going with his independent agency companies that include Auto-Owners and Encompass.Even though Dwain only played for one season under coach Erk Russell in college, one thing stuck with him. The only thing you really need to remember to be successful is "To Do Right."

Dwain started Sammons Insurance in 1986. He is licensed for property and casualty, accident and sickness, and life insurance. He is originally from Eatonton and has a farm there. He started out as a Cotton States agent in Macon, Georgia and moved to Sandersville in 2000. In July of 2007 he became an independent agent, which has allowed him more flexibility in serving his customers.
