After being together for 12 years (married for 5), am I entitled to alimony? We have 3 kids: one of them is my stepson (not adopted) and the twins which are mine and his. We own a home and have a new vehicle loan, no outstanding debts. The simple answer is "maybe." There are several types of alimony, but each one is very dependent on the facts of each case.

I would not recommend this attorney to anyone. Mr. Gelb has no Compassion what so ever during the handling of my divorce. Mr. Gelb nickeled and dime me for any and everything, when asked about certain charges he would always threaten to withdraw from my case. He also filed a motion to withdraw after charging me $450 an hour when I had a retainer agreement that stated $240 an hour. After presenting my copy of the agreement he apologized and fixed the charges, and that’s when I should have fired him and went elsewhere, but I gave him a chance to only get overcharged and ripped off for so many unnecessary

Worst atty on the face of this planet do not use him he does not help you he makes your life and situation worse I am a single parent of two kids I went to him for a simple matter regarding custody he took my deposit and did nothing for me and is seeking a large amount of money for doing Nothing for me and is trying to come after me for more money I've had to spend even more money to get a new lawyer because all he did was delay the motion DO NOT GO TO HIM!

I wanted to stop for a minute and recommend George Gelb as a divorce attorney! He does other things of course but I personally used Mr. Gelb for my divorce. Let's just call it a very unfriendly divorce that needed a good attorney to negotiate but in my case, keep me cool and collected as well. George did all of that and more. I highly recommend George Gelb if you need a great divorce attorney!!
