The eyebrow/eyelid region is the main area that creates this old and angry appearance. The gradual descent of forehead skin and eyebrows magnifies the droopiness of the upper eyelids. The daily facial expressions that engage your forehead; whether you're confused, laughing, or crying, cause your forehead to always stretch and contract.
There are many other contributions to the aging of the upper eyelids such as excessive sun exposure, smoking, and overall health. The upper eyelid blepharoplasty is an elegant procedure to help specifically target this area with minimal downtime but maximal results. There are many other issues that clients might not even be aware of such as ptosis (drooping of the eyelid muscle) and loss of an eyelid crease.
Sometimes plastic surgery results do not turn out as we expected. If this has happened to you, consider a revision eyelid surgery to achieve the look you have been hoping for. As its name suggests, this type of plastic surgery involves the surgical repair or reconstruction of an eyelid that has already been surgically altered.
We also begin to lose volume not only from a loss of skin protein but also our fat begins to shrivel up and shrink in size. A loss of these important subcutaneous (under skin) structures undermines our overlying skin, causing the sagging facial skin appearance that characterizes aging. Not all people age the same; some lose more volume than others while some have more vertical descending of their skin.

I just had an upper Blepheroplasty yesterday by Dr. Ahn. I shopped for the right doctor and I had 100% confidence in Dr. Ahn. He is gentle, patient and a perfectionist. I have been a nurse for 30 years and I know a good doctor when I meet one. The procedure went perfectly and although there's still swelling (it's been less than 24 hours post op), I see a dramatic improvement in my eyelids. I am very happy thus far. I would highly recommend Dr. Ahn. His staff, Faith also went above and beyond. I cannot be happier with the customer service she provided me.

This place is absolutely lovely! Booking a consultation was fast and easy, Faith is kind and friendly and makes sure to reach out.
I had Michelle and cannot say enough good things about her. She is knowledgeable, thorough, and she will NOT make you feel insecure! She helped correct a genetic issue I hated for years (that started to worsen due to getting older) with just a small amount of filler and it looks entirely natural. She is skilled and knows what she is doing, I highly recommend booking with her!!
I will definitely keep going here and working with these wonderful and generous ladies!

Poor customer service. The reception I received was less that respectful. I was rushed by their coordinator Faith who had no patience or consideration whatsoever, extremely rude. Demanded pictures by email, refusing the opportunity to a consultation with the doctor. An extra star was given for having answered one, only one of my questions. Dr. Ahn may be a good doctor but Faith makes the decisions in that practice.

I had a Blepharoplasy on my upper eyelids in October 2020. It was such a seamless and non-traumatic experience! Dr. Ahn and his staff are absolutely top notch!! I almost slept through the surgery! LOL. I am so happy with the results! There was no bruising or other post surgery issues. So happy!
Also, I had treatments of cool sculpting on my abs and love handles. After 50 lbs of weight loss these were the ares that did not disappear. Michelle and Faith were amazing! I am extremely happy with the first treatment and look forward to another to achieve the results that I am seeking. It takes patience

Dr. Ahn is The most ethical dermatologist that I have ever met! Also, Faith is a wonderful and friendly girl in here. Come to here, people here don’t lie to you. They don’t use those nasty marketing strategies on customers! They don’t push their customers to get any unnecessary treatments. And the most important thing is he got excellent skills!!!!

Dr. Ahn is a perfectionist who listens to his patients concerns. Kind and caring staff make it a pleasure to go to the office. This is saying something as I drive an hour in LA traffic to see him. He does all of his injections himself. I look natural and not "done." He has made me look ten years younger and much more rested. Considering what he had to start with, it is a miracle. :-) No more comments on how tired I look.
