Latin Cafe 2000 has long been recognized in the community for serving large portions of Cuban- inspired dishes. The restaurants' signature dishes include the Cuban sandwich, Desayuno Tradicional (traditional Cuban breakfast) and the Palomilla (thin-cut, juicy steak). For the health-conscious, the restaurants also offer the 'El Cubanito Saludable' or 'The Healthy Cuban, ' which presents lower calorie meals.
The number "2000" that you see at the end of our name, signified a new era of Latin Cafeterias. I came here for dinner while visiting the area area with my fiance. We were excited to try out some Cuban food and also found the overall area to be pleasant to walk through. We walked to the restaurant from our hotel room and found it pretty easily. We also chose to sit outside and were greeted by the waitress very quickly. The menu had a good number of selections, but wasn't too big. We decided to go with the roasted pork and chicken with chimichurri. Both were very good. We had wanted to try the sampler platter and the side of yuca in garlic sauce but they were out of both unfortunately.

Management greeted my party shortly after we walked inside. We arrived at midday so there was a slow crowd. We were seated in the back and mostly secluded. After ordering our food came out very quickly and was delicious!
My meal offered me one of the various tastes of Miami that I love and hold dear to my heart.
Overall rate: 4/5 due to the fact that we felt rushed to eat and leave while other diners were left to their leisure. Our food was very good. It was well seasoned and thoroughly cooked. Although it was good, I don’t imagine myself returning in the near future.

The place is great, food and drinks were good. They had music and the place looks good. The prices are decent. I try one of the daily special which was Caldo gallego, that soup was the best one I had in long time. The cuban sandwich was perfectly executed. The only reason I didn't gave a 5 stars was the service. Some of the servers (not all) need some serious customer service classes. Host ask how many but then told us to seat whenever. We weren't give a menu and our server ask for our order so we told her we didn't have a menu. After she gave us our food I had to wait 10 minutes until see finally

We love coming here for the food! Pre-COVID this place was one our fave. Today we opted to come, and noticed there was a line outside. That told us business is really good for them, so that definitely was a good sign for us . Normally we sit at the bar, but noticed that wasn't an option. It was our first time sitting at a table/booth. So we go in and didn't see anyone at the front to check us in, although a big line was waiting. We went back out and waited. 10 mins pass other people arrive and go in, to attempt to check in. Literally after that a waitress comes out and calls a name out

I just want to start with this leaving clear that I was not disrespected at any time but this is my opinion about the food and the service in this location, as soon as my wife and I got to the restaurant it wasnt nobody in the door, a randome waiter came to us and told us to seat anywhere, I thought that for a restaurant like this at least it will be somebody in the front directing people to their tables, our waiter attitude was beyond unprofessional talking to us without no manners at all, when we ask for our appetizer and drinks we told her to give us sometime to check the menu, we got our drinks

The Chicken Carbonara is amazing - they give you generous portions, and it only costs $11. Try to find that anywhere else in Miami. The rest of the menu is just as great, and they have a classy little bar inside for you to relax at. I have no idea why this place is only at 4.2 out of 5 stars. I live across the street, and everytime I come here, the staff has been great.

Do not order here if you are ordering for a special day (like Mother's Day). Overall unsatisfied with their customer service - living in Hialeah, there are many Cuban restaurants and Latin Cafe continually messes up my order. I am always missing items and the quality is simply not the same when the customer volume is high. I wish they would satisfy more their clientele as I have complained in the past and same issues occur. Quality is gone! My Mother's Day was ruined when half of the order was missing and the food tasted stale.

It's not the first time I order form here, In fact I have ordered a few times because it is right next door to my home and they have their days but as of late, the staff has been rude and unprofessional and something is ALWAYS wrong with my order.

I love this place whenever I’m in Miami! I usually go to the old location they closed on Biscayne but was disappointed to see they closed in Aug 2020. So to find this place less than 15 minutes away made me really happy today!
Food, Cuban coffee, guava pastries and their steak sandwiches were all amazing! The waitress was so great her name was Ana and I’m very happy with my most recent visit... Thanks for everything guys! See you next time I am in Miami!

Sorry to inform but it's not like it used to be. Understand that we all went & still going thru rough patch but quality should not suffer. We had a plantain soup that was thick as pudding, no flavor & cold. My husband had Moro that was sweet - as if they added syrup. I hope it gets back to its old ways. We had delivery on 12/12.

It is great restaurant, the food is excellent, Magaly is the best employee there; however, this morning we had the worst experience. There's a waitress by the name of Ramona who is really rude and unprofessional. When I was ordering by the window, my wife sat down to wait for me in one chairs outside. Unfortunately, while my wife was waiting, Ramona approached her in a really unprofessional way and told her that she needed to move as those chairs are only for customers who are eating in the restaurant. I understand that the restaurant has rules for the chairs located outside; nevertheless

After coming here for years, they told us we can not get refills on water anymore because they want us to start buying water bottles. The water bottle they carry is not my preferred water, so I will not drink it. They serve small glasses of water and will not refill, I have never heard of this before. I have been in the restaurant industry for 20 years and I am currently a restaurant manager and we refill guests water as much as they would like.
So they lost a long time customer and I have many friends that stopped coming for their petty changes as well...

We decided to have lunch @the Latin Cafe this afternoon. The place is very clean and has both indoor and outdoor seating. We had a wonderful time and the food was delicious. Today the wine was 50% off! We were very well treated by our waitress Mariela! I definitely recommend this place for great lunch and don't forget to say hi to Mariela!

Love the Media noches. We ordered 2,plus a Watermelon juice and their delicious HOMEMADE fries. Normally everything arrives perfect... But today the fries were NOT HOMEMADE!! Not kidding guys... They look like old McDonald's fries... And the thing that gets me upset is when I called the girl that I ordered from to complain about them all she's had to say was okay okay okay. Almost every day my friend orders from them that was kind of rude just tell me... No more fries, or try to explain!! but don't brush me off, or send me these things!! Old hard fries!!

This is my second time order from here via UberEats. The empanada is tasty but a bit on the greasy side, the croqueta was delicious, the tuna sandwhich was tasty but it is too much bread for the amount of tuna that they use, many flattening the bread or using a different type would help, also the fries arrived soggy so I would recommend using holed take out plate to prevent this and the churrasco de pollo was tasty but also greasy.

I tried placing an order over the phone yesterday and someone rudely hung up the phone without me having the chance to speak. So I ended up placing the order online (which was pretty easy ) thinking it would be faster. I got a confirmation showing that the order would be ready by 11:41. I literally got there at 11:42 . I had to wait an additional 15 minutes. The lady didn't seem to know where my food was and she had go wait on a manager to find it I guess.
I ordered the large chickens soup and a Croqueta Preparada. The soup was lacking chicken but the favor wasn't bad

Disappointing. The food was very very far below average. We got the 2 for 20. The fried yuca was ok but you Can tell it was fried in the same oil that was real old. The bistec de pollo empanizado was super dry, not even ketchup could save it. The churrasco de pollo was dry and tasteless. The salad was awful. The only decent thing was the free bread that was given at the beginning. The service was not bad, so I can't complain about that. But good lord the kitchen needs to be re-evaluated.

I have been coming here for four years now...and it is always consistently decent. There is not a half a star ..if there was I would give a 3.5
They are always friendly and recognise us when we come in which is really sweet.
My husband is Cuban and always comes for their fried red snapper.

College friends caught up with each other after 10 years . We ordered a big pitcher of Red Sangria. We had about 4 glass wine size each. Also happy hour was an hour later and got to take advantage of that. The Cuban sandwich was great because they didn't hold back on the meat. The other food was great with Sangria. Good portion for the amount paid. Average cost. I would definite return if I visited Miami again!
