At Ribeiro Jiu-Jitsu in Lewisburg, we believe that martial arts training can help every child and adult develop the mental and physical skills they need to succeed in life. Martial Arts isn't just about self-defense like so many believe. At Ribeiro Jiu-Jitsu, it's all about self-confidence, improved focus, physical strength, and positive social interaction.

Ribeiro Jiu-Jitsu teaches our members to set goals, work hard, and follow-through, all the while having fun and making friends. Starting your child young in Jiu Jitsu training is ideal (children as young as the age of four are usually accepted, as it is also a good way to hone fine motor skills), and lots of parents have found that in as little as a year, their children who were involved in martial arts had noticeably gained positive traits such as increased self-esteem, respect, and overall physical fitness.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting with the goal of gaining a dominant position from which to force an attacker to submit. The system developed from a modified version of pre-World War II Judo including some techniques from Japanese Jujutsu with a focus on ne-waza (ground technique).
Just as the child must trust his mother, the white belt must believe in the goodwill of his instructor. There will be a time for questioning, but for now he must focus and train. Whether you're looking to try out a single class or start your journey down the road to black belt, the offers below can help you get to where you want to be.
