My husband and I have older Verado engines. One day, one of our motors started acting up and did not let us turn it back on. It was telling us that it had a gas issue and it was overheating. Between my husband trying to replace the obvious ( thermostat, poppet valve, FSM) and 3 other mechanics that came down to the keys to see the boat, we had spent an embarrassing amount of money replacing parts and an equally embarrassing amount of time lowering the boat in the water and testing to see if what we had replaced had solved the issue.

We were down in the keys for vacation and had a boat issue. We were told we needed a Mercury part and these guys were the closest one that was open.
